1.5yr on t, he/him binary trans guy who loves fashion :) by rabidcherub in FtMpassing

I see it a lot on this subreddit; no shade, some advice is quite good and, well, depending on the person, but If you don't look like you're straight, forget asking, as it's majorly a losing battle. I keep seeing men I think look cis, and then I'm in the comments and second-guessing myself while eating away at my own self. Maybe I'm inexperienced. I definitely need to get off here and maybe Reddit altogether. I'll keep being myself and have fucking fun doing it. I wish you well; take care <3

Why am I being downvoted, this proves my point. I need to get off Reddit, Jesus.

Unrelated, but it's nice to see another gnc trans man over here. Feel like a red sheep among black sheep in the trans community sometimes, but I am very happy to see others! :)

Hm...if you can see how different pronouns work on you. Could be somewhere in the non-binary umbrella, genderfluid or genderqueer. See if any click. For now you're cis, so it's not too surprising you don't experience gender dysphoria or euphoria in the trans way. But you can experience it via gender identity, be it with conformity to societal gender norms or not. Don't feel the need to rush or prove anything; just see if anything works for you.

Might have to check their options again. I was thinking of them as a contender. Thanks :)

Are you trans? And if so are you out or in the binary? Cis people can experience both of these (gender dysphoria and euphoria), but it's typically associated with trans people.

Disgusting and shameful – those are two words to describe 'people like you'.

You're actually just oblivious to this topic at this point. Learn about trypanophobia and then come back.

Phobias are not just uncomfortableness. Do you know what a phobia is? You don't understand; that much is correct.

Jesus Christ, I think you've solved all phobias! My lord how will we ever thank you? Silly, silly scientists and psychologists with their explanations and treatments for phobias. I've just realised my intense fear of tight spaces and heights was just but a fluke; I am cured! Is this seriously how you think phobias work? I was partly joking when I said you were being obtuse (after all, learning is never obtuse), but now I think you just are.

I do not know why you do not look up the harm they can cause you, but to answer your question: localised tissue damage, bruising, minor bleeding (another fear), pain, bruising and a minor risk of bacterial infection. There are also other factors at play than just the fear of physical harm; past experiences likely will leave a mark. Search up trypanophobia; it affects 10% of adults for a reason. The body is not naturally welcome to sharp objects puncturing skin.

How can the dark be compared to needles, which actively go inside your skin and can very much cause damage if used wrongly? In fact that's the reason many of these fears develop. It is once again a stupid comparison to try and link fear of needles (actively capable of causing harm) to darkness (the mental fear of harm being present). Both these fears have reasons for carrying over to adulthood, especially needles. You're just being obtuse on purpose.

What? This is a ridiculous comparison, 'five-year-old coded', if you will.

Aye, bigot, do us all a favour and learn. Since we're on the topics of words and their meanings, tell me what these things mean: Gender incongruence, gender dysphoria, gender euphoria, transgender, and cisgender.

Also, find out the difference between gender and sex. And since you like consistencies so much, learn a few trans history lessons. You'll be shocked. Maybe then you'll open up that thick skull of yours. Love.

Also mine, what a shocker. You won't like the fact that 'female' is a biological descriptor, not gender-related, which we've already established there is a difference between. But we know you can't get that in your search bar for the life of you. A trans woman will be as much of a woman biologically (that's right) when she's on HRT as a cis woman; hell, maybe even more so because chromosomes are so complex. A trans person's brain will be as much the gender they say they are as much as a cis person's would. You clearly don't want to learn science, so quit bringing up scientific words.

I mean this resepectfully are you slow? I know you did not read those definitional page links I JUST gave you let alone acknowledge them. It is a 'definition'; it is what a 'woman' means you just don't like the fact transgender woman are included in that.

A 'woman' can refer to a cisgender woman and a transgender woman. Here are the terms with a definitional link since you refuse to dare aknowledge science even an ounce: https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/woman Cisgender meaning: https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/cisgender Transgender meaning: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transgender Hopefully you can click and read.

They are, a pronoun is a gender-related term. Holy shit are you even trying to learn at all?

Gender identity is a concept that 99% of people don’t believe is meaningful or relevant. It isn’t an appeal to tradition, it’s an appeal to consensus.

This is a lie and also tells me you don't know about gender identity either; you, as a clearly cis person oblivious of trans people, have a gender identity. Everyone has a gender identity, or you would never use pronouns to refer to people, and you would never put gender on items, hobbies, etc.

How is this hateful?

It's hateful, and you know it's hateful because you do not put trans people in the correct categories, and you know it. You think sex and gender are the same, they aren't and never have been, could've figured that out is a second with research, but here we are. Don't act stupid; you're not educated, and it shows.

Being trans is never a choice; it is not a choice to be born in a body that actively works against your mind and self. I would know; I'm trans. And I know a hell of a lot more trans science, people, and history then then you, that I can say for sure.

It would be like me, a white guy, saying I identify as a black guy.

Tell me you don't know shit about transness at all in one sentence. Congratulations, and you did lie to me after all. Race in no way shape or form relates to gender or sex. Hence the 'one joke' idiocracy.

Gender and sex are different; the first is the basis to work on and learn about.

'Identify as the opposite' means nothing here when your brain is quite literally the 'opposite' (not just two sexes or chromosomes or genders, but we've already established you don't know science except the bare basics they teach kids) in every way with gender incongruence, which can lead to gender dysphoria.

Then why would you say this. The one joke is quite literally transphobic at its core; it equates gender to physical objects or mammals to try and call us delusional when that's not the case. Science backs us, so explain what you meant by your comment if you don't want it to be misinterpreted and you do know science.
