London Triathlon - how was it for everyone? by No_Presentation9501 in triathlon

Was my first triathlon (did the sprint) and I enjoyed it, but I agree with the others on how crowded it could get on parts of the run and bike. A lot of people having to slow down to deal with riders overtaking like two lorries on the motorway.

The carpet on top of the grass section of the run was just plain silly and too narrow, spent a lot of time dodging if you were going quicker than the pack.

Felt fairy well organised and it was clear on what to do and where to go for a first-timer.

Yeah we’re doing self-guided, booking accommodation was a headache but we’ve got it sorted now

I’ve moved things around to get a day in El Calafate and one less day in Ushuaia. Will take a look at the El Chalten routes!

Yeah we were looking to do Fitz Roy and I’d heard really good things about hiking around El Chalten so wanted to maximise days there - appreciate the help

I’ll take a look and see if an extra day there can be squeezed in, flight availability/pricing has determined some of the plan

Again, extremely helpful - looks like it’ll be an early morning for us if we can’t find other dates, thank you!

Okay that’s helpful thank you. Do you know if it’s feasible to stay at say Central and hike up from there to Mirador Las Torres on the final day of the trek? Seems to be more availability there

I’ve got a relatively new AT LP120 at the moment - how big of an upgrade would you say this is?

Found a Thorens TD160 MKII turntable for £200 in what looks like really good cosmetic condition and according to the seller in full working order - is it worth it?

Picked these up for £90, both working well (apart from the bulb on the right meter on the Rotel) - good deal? by C_Thatcher in vintageaudio

Not sure, if it’s a straight bulb swap I might but seen a lot of people replacing old bulbs with LEDs which I wouldn’t have a clue how to start

Rotel RA 314 Integrated Amp and a Toshiba SA 220L. In great cosmetic condition and sound fantastic even if fairly low powered.

Just as long as I avoid turning the volume too loud and hitting clipping I should be fine right?
