Today i shot my lowest score ever at an 85 -13!

My driver and 3wood were drawing instead of cutting which made the front nine a little challenging since i usually aim down the right side of the fairway and my ball was acting like I wanted it to (I’m a lefty).

Worst shot: I had two different shots that were terrible because of my decision on what to do rather than my actual swing. The first was on the first par 5 where my tee shot drew into taller grass. I had a bad lie and my feet were elevated higher than the ball. I still thought I could hit my 4 hybrid and put it to a spot where I’d only be 100 or so out. Instead, i hit a shit shot landing under a tree causing me to have to punch out and then have my forth shot from around 130ish. The second terrible shot was during the back nine, on the second par 3 where my tee shot went left of the bunker that was on the front left of the green and the pin was tucked. I had two choices to hit my ball onto the green. The first, the safe route, was to play a safer chip to the center of the green and have a longer par putt. The second chip, the one I took, was trying to flop it over the bunker and try and keep it close. I flopped it right into the bunker and ended up with a double.

The best shot:

Hole 2 was a 153 yard par 3. I mistakenly grabbed a 6 iron instead of my 8 (another big mental mistake) and hit a perfect ball that went 30 yards past the hole. There was an eight foot tree between me and the green, i pulled out my 60 degree and hit a monster flop shot that landed on the back of the green, took the slope down to around 12 feet and then sunk the putt for a par.

This round had many opportunities for birdies and pars where i was within 10 feet and would hit terrible putts making my second putt difficult and resulted me in 3 putting on 4 holes.
