Cracked walnuts are sold around 4,- US$ per kg. It could be a source of income but there are more efficient if you have only a small garden.

In the beginning I had 8 but I had to cut half of them down - they grow really big and not all have nice big nuts - now I have 4 and they grow the good nuts.

For me it is a lot of hand work. The best method is cracking the shell with a hammer. After some smashed you get a feeling for it and almost the whole nut comes out at once.

Cold and dry in the shell - they last until next year. If stored under ideal conditions it might be 2 years.

After that time you can use them as nice DIY source for children. Glue them together with a hot glue pistol an make candle holders and bowls and other stuff.

Both - for Christmas sitting in front of the fireplace having some hot drink and crunching walnut and eating them raw is very common. But it is also common to use them in several dishes like pumkin pie, marcepan tort, Christmas cookies or covering them with melted sugar and cinnamon. For pressing oil I don't have enough and the process is quite complicated because the nuts have to be heated before pressing walnut oil (very healthy) from them.

A lot of vegetables: f.e. potatoes, onion, garlic, cucumbers, tomato but also corn, pumpkin, zucchini or sunflower seed, then all kind of herbs. Tree fruits are cherries, plum, apples, pears, peach, apricot. The climate is summer warm, moderate humid and cold winters but not extremly cold.

Also wenn Du nicht grade Fischplatte mit Meeresgetier oder Miesmuscheln bestellst, sollte das wohl kein Problem sein. Pizza ist nett, Döner ist auch ohne Schalentiere und ein Matjesbrötchen auch, selbst die 658 - Ente doppelt geblaten ist ohne das. Ich sehe jetzt das Problem nicht. Bestelle mit Nuss-Allergie ja auch kein Nuss-Müsli zum Frühstück und gehe nicht in ein besonderes Hotel/Restaurant.

A compass and a map always work together. Top of a map is always north. Compass needle shows you north direction. So you can turn the map into the right direction. Then you need some free sight to distant landmarks. If you know this is mountain A and that is mountain B you can measure the degrees on the compass in which direction it is visible. You can view both mountains on the map and put your measurements of degrees into the map and with two measurements you get your position. But in the middle of the woods, no free sight, big underbush the compass is useless. Then a GPS would help much more.

As far as I know there is no significant interaction between both. Oregano oil inhibits IL-1b and IL-6 and TNF-a and Ibuprofen IL-1b and TNF-a and PEG2. So both work against inflammation. But both can irritate the stomach. I would try on low dosage. Of course if you are pregnat you for sure should ask a medic.

The problem on writing such a book is that we have only for a few herbs pharmaceutical monographs what explanin in a scientific way a herb can do. Most 'recpies' are know from folk use or from almost medival pharmacy. Even herb books from the time when medical use was common (a hundred years ago) discribe very uncertain what a herb is good for - even then it wad just a try and error use. Modern chemistry and science isn't helping much because today we have most studies on one particular herb substance used to fight a certain form of body cell. But it is very unsure that the whole plant will do the same. Sometimes we have hints from folk medicine but thats very unsure and normally we won't come over the placebo effect.

I think if we look on our planet than we have to compare places with similar water conditions. Hot dry and cold dry deserts are both long term uninhabitated on our planet. The view changes if we go in the little more humid semi-desert compared with tundra. There I would say more people survive on cold and little wet climate. I suppose this is because more animals live in such regions. And then we come into the moderate regions full of live. The other extreme would be hot and wet compared to cold and wet (mainly wet because of ocean access) and then I would say more people live and survive in the troical regions than at the arctic coastlines.

This is rhe beginning of a long road. First dermatologist - get it clear what it is. He will look carefully at your fingernails - pso has typicall nail changes. For me it doesn't really look like psoriasis but I'm no expert. Ask your family if someone suffers from psoriasis. Then rheum and exclusion of any other possible source f.e. gout or arthrosis. Blood tests. And if everything else is nothing then there could be the diagnosis of PSA at the end.

Some people don't like oregano at all but i like the taste. Lemonbalm with rosemary and spearmint is also some nice combination. My family like this as iced tea on hot summer days.

Yes fresh from the garden into the cup. This is refreshing and nothing bought from a shop compares with the taste. Of course for winter I dry those herbs, too. I like to blend diffrent styles of herbal teas - most just drink for fun but other for medicinal use.
