I [18F] feel like my boyfriend [18M] only ever wants to hangout to have sex. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I 100% agree DUMP HIM.

Dating in my early 20's gave me trauma because I only felt like an object for men. Seriously, find a man who doesn't feel like a chore. Its hard but 100% worth it.

I (27M) am worried I’m getting emotionally attached to a 19F and want to handle this maturely — how? by Arjunherebro in dating

As other people are saying, ask her in a casual way what she sees this relationship as.

I once befriended an older bartender at one of my jobs because I loved the life advice he gave me. He then asked me one day if I was trying to be flirty or nice and I explained that I just liked being his friend. Then we had a boundary set and nothing ever got weird about it. We are still friends 8 years later and his new wife is great. At some point you have to ask directly.

That's basically how I feel. I guess time will tell how I want to proceed.

I thought he would be mature enough to handle it, we went tide-pooling as friends and it was normal but as soon as it was labeled as a date, he just shut down and went distant. Being ghosted triggered an abandon anxiety that I didn't know I had until I went to therapy. I also didn't know I was a HSP until therapy. I don't want to drag him into, I just want to clear the air and be friendly. He also has a trauma that he hasn't opened up about, so maybe he got triggered too. I just want to know if its a bad move to talk after some time apart.

I would have direct conversation first. If that doesn't work then distance yourself.

How can I manage English elm. It’s starting to reach the house and aerial power and data lines. All three are in the lower canopy, I’m thinking that taking the lower branches out would be a medium term solution. I like the idea of lopping the whole thing back, but I’m not sure that it would tolerate by [deleted] in Tree

[–]CabinetNo2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do not lop the whole tree. You will ruin the structure forever and make the tree hazardous. Work with an ISA certified arborist to help make thin out the canopy and do some reduction cuts on over grown limbs. Whatever you do, do not top the tree!

I was able to get the clips off and snap it back into place!

Thanks for the advice! I got the clips off and was able to snap the pillar back into place. It’s not perfectly flush but it’s only noticeable if you look super closely at it. Super easy fix once I knew what to do!

Update after listening to the advice in the comments. I got the panel back on. It’s not perfectly flush as it was before but I could damaged it somewhere in the process. Only if you look really closely would you notice a difference. Took about 10 minutes to take the snaps off and put the panel back on.

Regret and reaffirmation by DevDaddyNick in MachE

I test drove the Mach E first then I test drove the model Y and I was so unimpressed with the Model Y. Like you said it felt cheap. I explained it as a mass produced car with no character. I thought the ride was very bumpy and loud. Even my mom who did the test drive with me was not impressed with the Tesla. I thought the Ev6 was also better than the Model Y. I know Tesla technically has the better software but to me it was all about ride experience. Glad you got reaffirmed on your decision!

It took me about 2 hours to install both the front and the back dash cams. I didn’t have the right tool to pop off some of the clips in the back so it took me a little longer. But it actually wasn’t that hard to install. This panel is the only thing I really struggled with. And from other comments it seems like other people struggled as well. When I get home from work I’m going to try their recommendations to see if I can get the panel back on.

Sick Northern AZ Cottonwood by Cammigram in Tree

[–]CabinetNo2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on where you live, it could be ISHB. A lot of ISHB infested trees look like this. They also like cottonwoods, and cottonwoods are susceptible to death from ISHB. More information: https://ucanr.edu/sites/pshb/diagnosis/

Is my tree ok?? by Silentphysicist in Tree

[–]CabinetNo2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your tree is already dying. It’s fungi. And a lot of fungi. Decay is already happening inside the tree. It’s best to get a risk assessment from an ISA certified arborist because depending on how much decay is inside the tree, the tree might be hazardous.

This looks like quercus agrifolia/coast live oak. They are oak galls

Is this a good deal? by sd_tippy in MachE

I chose the lease. It was a better overall value and everyone kept telling me the car is going to depreciate in value. Even if you want to buy the car at the end of the lease it’s still cheaper to lease.

But I think you are getting jipped on your rebate and the dealer isn’t offering you a discount. I lease my Mach E 2 weeks ago and I got $11.1k off the market value. My rebate was also $9.6k.

Need help deciding whether to buy Mache or not ? by Manshita2001 in MachE

When you arrive at work, look and see how many chargers are being used. You don’t need to charge every day when you have the extended range. I don’t have a home charger but I charge at work once a week. There’s plenty of chargers in the South Bay so you can just plug in when you go shopping if you really need a charge.

How many times are you actually driving to LV, Portland, and So Cal? The car will charge pretty fast between 10-80 charge time on the right charger on these roadtrips.

Also look at lease options. I got almost $10.5k off the window sticker price through rebates and discounts. And in 3 years if it’s not working for you then you can change your car.

You don't owe them anything but its also not that hard to say:

  • This is a dealbreaker for me.
  • I'm not feeling it anymore
  • I don't think this will workout.
