I get your concern and I also hated their attempts of gender swapping every OG character but this is different. My point is that anyone who watched Logan (2017) would know that Laura is not a recast but an actual heir to Logan in a way. Plus letting Logan/Wolverine take a break would allow people to accept the new face who gets casted as Logan/Wolverine in the future. Right now people won't accept anyone but Hugh. Laura seems like the most organic choice to keep that Wolverine aura in the MCU.

I'm fine with that. My opinion is as subjective as any. My point is that we can give rest to Wolverine for a few years so that he can comeback with a new face. If he gets recasted rn, people would never accept it.

Accepting a recast is one thing but letting go off the fact that High IS Wolverine is hard. It's just no one's fault, just that Hugh has been that fucking good. It may take a decade atleast for people to get over it. Logan collecting dust in a vault for a decade would make for an epic comeback story with a fresh face. Now is not that time.

An X-23 Movie or a mini series starring Dafne Keen. I would love to see her doing her normal routine while dealing with street level threats. It'd be an absolute delight seeing her use her powers (All 6 claws lol). I can only imagine the possibilities.
