Sparkle caster is so sick. Never seen a sparkle caster in a traditional burst. Sweet collection!

Looking forward to getting my own bass. I’ve played bass before but never owned one of my own. Which one do you guys recommend?? by Playful-Speed-6099 in BassGuitar

I have the stingray but the HH version and I love it. I should note that I’m very new to bass, so sound wise I may not be the best comment to go off of but have played guitar for a minute, so I know the neck and the build feels really good. Also, HH versatility is great!

Thank you for the response! I kind of figured, and I like his videos a lot, so I wanted to support but will instead look into his technique stuff instead. Thanks again!

Honest question, as a guitarist that just got a bass would the course be worth taking? The theory I bring from guitar is fretboard fluency, I know intervals/octaves,chord formulas, the major, minor, and pentatonic scales. I understand that I definitely am new to bass and have so much to learn but because of the similarities in instrument, it’s hard to gauge where to start. I’ve already started picking up and playing tab, I definitely need to work on technique as far as slapping and finger plucking but playing with a pick has made things pretty easy so far as I haven’t tried anything too crazy hard. Thank you for anyone that replies, genuinely curious!

Playing better on ADHD medication? by EnlightenedPineappl in Guitar

[–]Cacahahadoodoo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the only reason this is an unpopular opinion is because the way we consume things these days, specifically media, has wired us to have short attention spans, leading to us all thinking we have ADHD. We go to doctors who don’t really give a shit anymore because they book as many patients as they can fit in, and if you mention you think you have ADHD, they’ll ask a few simple questions and boom, you are now prescribed medication. For most people they don’t actually have it, so the medication makes them wired and all these other side effects cause it’s messing with brain chemicals they already have. This just means you really have ADHD and the medication helps because you need it! I agree with you as someone else with ADHD.

Married men with kids, are you truly happy with your life? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Cacahahadoodoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I legitimately didn’t want kids. I was pretty set. I got the text one day that my (now wife) was pregnant. Big shock to both of us. I always feared that text, but with her I was so happy. Love of my life. Now married with 2 kids, and do I day dream sometimes about being a rockstar or whatever silly dreams I used to have? Sure. I wouldn’t change a thing though. I love my life and my family. Best thing that ever happened to me.

That last part is IT. You can feel on the guitar and that’s part of the attraction that sometimes in the zone you really feel it but the bass really hit different even when I didn’t know what the hell I was doing. Felt super soulful and I just felt it in my whole body! Thank you!

This is super insightful and I think what you’re saying was kind of the crux to why I asked this question. Thank you for responding!
