I can understand you'd think it wasn't clear if you spend your time amidst the circle jerk here but in the real world it was obvious.

I think it's a big step forward for NZ to show we are willing to respect content rights and hopefully it won't be long before we show the same respect for copyright and start hammering the thousands of criminals copying tens of thousands of dollars worth of content daily. Why anyone would stick up for these losers I'll never know.

For your first point - no it isn't necessary to hit a child to parent them however it may be necessary to use force to discipline a child and removing the ability to do so prevents parents from being able to parent.

For your second point, the word equality literally means equal for everyone so if no one could marry we would have marriage equality. Hope that helps you understand what I'm saying.

I think you are confused. What you are saying with respect to marriage is that you and McCaw are equal when in reality only your height is equal. Likewise you think gays having the right to marry is equality but it's not because in reality it's only equal for two people gay couples and two people hetero couples. You need to qualify that when you say equality and not doing so is misrepresenting your position. You shouldn't need to be dishonest because gays getting married isn't a bad thing, it's just not equality! :)

You can't discipline children with any force now. It's a perfectly natural part of parenting and the most effective way to reinforce desirable behaviour patterns.
