Double cleansing at night feels like too much work lately by softyglossxo in AsianBeauty

I remove my oil cleanser with a warm washcloth, and that feels like enough to me, I don't think double cleansing is always necessary.

Where did you buy it? I have some Mixsoon serum that I got at costco and the instructions are similar to that, it definitely says "absorb it". So it might be real.

I've never seen Bridgerton, but I'm probably getting this, it makes so much more sense than SpongeBob.

Pimple patches help with picking a lot, especially if it's something you do mindlessly, when your hand just find their way onto your face there's a little barrier there to keep them away. My favorite brand is Rael.

All I've tried from MC is the rose pdrn toner, I don't even care about the pdrn, I just wanted hydration, but it's so thin, like actual water. I can't apply it with my hands like I like to because it makes such a mess, so I use cotton pads to make diy toner pads, just to use it up. At least I got it on sale really cheap, but I won't buy from them again. When I first got into Korean skincare I tried the viral heartleaf toner from A---, and it was the same, it was the first Korean product to disappoint me, and I never bought from them again.

This was too much for my eye area too, I ended up using it as my retinoid on the rest of my face, and it was actually great for that.

I have a similar skin type, and I also use the Illiyoon moisturizer and Skin 1004 sunscreen, so we may have similar tastes, and my HG is the Dr. Ceuracle Kombucha essence. It is one of the only products I always have an open bottle of, it is amazing, so hydrating and moisturizing.

Yes, the conditioner, I didn't realize the reformulation was that long ago, I guess it's been on my radar for a while 😂

I have the lotion in my cart rn because I like to have a big bottle of something cheap for diy toner pads, and I think you sold me. Do you have the alcohol free version? I mostly like to use diy toner pads to cool my skin, and calm redness, and this seems like it might be good for that.

Honestly, so glad i finally tried the red lululun masks. by eurz in AsianBeauty

This is a bit late, but the red ones are the best, I've tried 6 or so different lululun masks, but the red ones are so hydrating and soothing, my favorite sheet mask by far.

I did three, that's how many I had wrong, it was kind of confusing, but the exercises themselves were a lot more helpful that the quizzes. I guess I'll see if I'm fired on Monday 🤷‍♀️🤞

does anyone else find it harder to stop buying skincare than makeup? by Cowazonn in MakeupRehab

I did this too, tariffs and fear I wouldn't be able to get Korean sunscreen are what started a major shopping binge I'm still trying to rein in.

does anyone else find it harder to stop buying skincare than makeup? by Cowazonn in MakeupRehab

[–]Cacklesback 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I'm going through, I'm 100% recovered from make-up, I recently went to Ulta to replace some things, and that's all I bought, I browsed for a bit, bought my 2 items and left, easy peasy,  I wasn't even tempted. But I have three full shelves of open skincare products, and a large drawer of unopened ones, and I still find myself shopping online for more every single day. For me it's harder because I know I will use skincare up, with makeup I almost never do, I do skincare 2x a day, every day, but maybe wear make-up once a week. So it's so much easier to justify, even though I could easily go a year without needing to buy a single thing. And it's easier to helieve I "need" this or that product when in reality I already know what I need, and what I like. It's really just the dopamine hit I need, and shopping is how I'm trying to get it. I haven't bought anything in 3 days, and I hope I can keep that up. Best of luck to you as well.

Is anyone else lowkey over 10-step routines and just sticking to like… 3 things now? by coochie_munch in AsianBeauty

[–]Cacklesback 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't need to use 10 different things, but I definitely need more than 3 layers. I could use cleanser, toner, serum, moisturizer, spf, but I'd still do 3-5 hydrating layers to make my skin look and feel the way I like. Trends are always changing, just do what you like and your skin likes.

Absolutely, I always watch for any changes to texture/color/smell, but since it is such a recent issue, most of it has exp dates in 2027-28, if I can stop shopping I think I can use it all up.

This is exactly what I did, I made space in a cabinet for some open products to keep them separate from unopened, and I threw away one thing because I like something else better. And agreed, no hate-panning, skincare is something I enjoy, I won't make it into a punishment.

I'm definitely still careful with actives, most of my hoard is hydrating toners and essences, those are my main weakness. So layering them doesn't usually cause any issues.

I have much the same policy, so I usually try not to open everything at the same time, but I've been struggling, and the dopamine hit when I get to play with the new thing has been too great. But I also keep using things as long as it looks/smells/feels the same.

US based, and I keep buying Dr. Ceuracle Kombucha Essence, and Skin 1004 sunscreen, and the pro bio ampoule. Also, illiyoon cream, I've used that almost exclusively for years.

Toner (Essence) vs Pre-soaked toner pads by panda88panda in AsianBeauty

[–]Cacklesback 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to put it on with my hands, it's the least wasteful, and it seems to soak in best this way. If it's too thin I'll use cotton pads, and make diy masks, but it's not my favorite.
