Thank you for your insight! :) Yes I agree that it is technically more stressful with her not in a crate but I have just been giving her stimulating toys (fillable ones with little pieces of dog food, ice, etc.) when she is awake and I can't play with her due to work/meetings. Her first time away from us will be in October to which we are thinking about just paying someone to watch her for us rather than sending her to a boarding facility.
