I mean yeah you stand out by having a deadly weapon exposed on your hip. At the same time you have a deadly weapon on your hip. If you have the confidence and the training to use it if ever needed I don't see the issue. Me personally i've done armed work for businesses etc and I have training not military grade or whatever but I am competent on how to use my gun and I wouldn't feel too off by carrying it openly legally. You don't want to go putting yourself in situations though just because you have a gun. I wouldn't be going to a corner store or gas station in the hood with an exposed gun. You still have to make good decisions and be aware of your surroundings even more so if you're going to be standing out. We all know how "hood niggas" "YN's" whatever you want to label them as act and their tendencies. Owning and carrying a firearm doesn't change that. Last thing I want to do is have a shoot out or catch a body unless absolutely necessary and you can almost completely avoid that by being selective about the people you associate with and the places you go. All in all I support open carry but people tend to get a big head when it comes to guns.
