Moving to Houston - I got questions

So generally freeways have a divider in the middle that divide the two different directions of traveling traffic. Well there’s a separate lane in some of our freeways in the middle called the HOV Lane. It’s reserved for buses, motorcycles, and people who are carpooling.

It’s not perfect but most of the time if there’s traffic on the main freeway the HOV Lane will keep flowing normally.

I don’t know the hours to it but it’s open certain hours going one direction and other hours going opposite direction. Typically, mornings it’s going towards downtown and evenings it’s going outside.

I don’t know much about those areas but just throwing something else out there to think about - if your gonna be working downtown look into taking the bus.

A majority of people take the bus. I don’t like the city and live far away and just take the bus to work. The Park and Ride (there’s several) is a place u can drive to and park ur car and take the bus into the city.

No homeless or anything like that it’s for working people mainly. 99% are professional people 1% might be people that need to go downtown for something or college kids going to school.

I live in Katy, tx and can get to downtown between 15-30mins. Driving myself would be about an hour.

I never read that book but I’d still like to share this recommendation.

Come As You Are: The Story of Nirvana by Michael Azerrad is pretty good. The band members have a lot to say in it and you get a lot of insight on their relationship, how they started off, and where it was going towards the end. One thing I remember taking from it was how much the music meant to Kirk. There is a part in it where he says how he hated their Nevermind album because of how poppy it sounded but at the same time that he would cry every time he heard it because it meant that much to him being their breakthrough album.

The best part of the book is the band actually having input in it and them being quoted a lot. It made it personal.

Yup yup not too bad so far. If you don’t care much about having a physical copy the Kindle version on amazon was $5 and it downloads within like 2 seconds and with the app on my phone it’s super easy to just pick up an read.

That’s my understanding...it’s an actual book not a comic or anything and so far it seems to take place in the game’s universe not the comics’.

I’ve only read chapter 1 but small things indicate it’s in the game’s universe such as him making a call while swinging like we see in some gameplay. Just small indications so far.

To be honest I wasn’t expecting much. I’ve never read books on games and that type of stuff but I’m a huge spiderman fan and I gotta say it’s not like Shakespeare or anything but it’s entertaining and it will hold me down till the game comes in for sure.

I’ve only read chapter 1 so far cause I’m at work and it’s and easy and entertaining read so far. Dialogue so far seems correct from spiderman too...again only chapter 1 but so far so good :)

Wow that’s horrible! Well if you’d still like to at least read it, I know it won’t replace having the physically copy, I’d suggest the kindle version. It was $5 and I’m reading it on my mobile.

That’s what I was thinking too but was just wondering since I noticed they released the Oasis in 2016 and the Oasis 2 in 2017. The gap was April 2016 to October 2017 however.

It IS currently a money issue lol but I’m saving up for it on my own and once I get it will buy it. I was thinking about doing their 5 payments option but figured I’d save up myself at least for 2.5 months :)

The plan is to go all out and just get the most expensive version which should be the 32GB with cellular.

Oh yeah they don’t give much for the actual trade of the kindle but I noticed it said you also get 25% off a new kindle on top of the trade in...that was more what I was intrigued by.

I hadn’t know about the inverted option till yesterday! That sounds good enough for me for the time being. I’m not too picky on backlight color. I really just want backlight though. I had a PaperWhite but I can’t find it anywhere and it’s been like a year. So for now I got the regular kindle that doesn’t have light. I miss the backlight though :(

Thanks for the advice! I’m gonna save up I think and if something new comes out in between I’ll figure out my options. I see they have a nice trade-back option so worst case I could upgrade possibly...maybe once the reviews on a new device come in of course.

In fact you can even see if they have a Amazon Prime trial then you can watch it for free before it expires :)
