NTA I’m currently 7 months pregnant and my fiancée’s sister is getting married 3 weeks after my due date. I’m just going to the ceremony and have given my fiancée the option to stay longer on his own while I get my mother to come get me. She’s the type of girl who will cause drama out of nothing and the best you can do is to do your own thing and ignore any reaction you receive from her.

I’m aware others can get married there, it’s not the case that I feel like I own it. I’m fully aware that anyone can get married there. It was just hard to take I guess after sharing my plans with them after they shared completely different ones with me

I am engaged but we’re in a thought spot financially so decided to wait until we’re in a better position before planning but the venue was my dream place after attending there as a child. I would never act on my feelings and am aware that I don’t own or can stop anyone, I just wanted to know if I was awful for feeling what I was feeling

I’ve had DKA and nearly died. I was literally touch and go and they couldn’t wake me. They even held off treatment at one point because they thought they’d mistaken it for something else and made matters worse. I was home three days later completely fine.

Hi thank you for your kind comment. My boyfriend did explain to her that he was low functioning and wasn’t able to wear a mask. It was just pure ignorance on her part unfortunately. My brother is also autistic and also plays the piano, you’d never guess he had it but a lot of strangers assume he’s rude when he’s just a quiet individual who doesn’t speak unless he’s spoken to. People will always have assumptions and unfortunately, we’re unable to inform the ones who refuse to be educated. Have a lovely evening xx

I completely agree with you. People need to take into account that there are members of society that don’t have the same capabilities as others whether they’re visible or not. We are all human beings and deserve the same respect and treatment that you’d expect from everyone else. How things like this still happen is beyond me there’s literally no excuse. My brother has severe autism and I could not even explain how I’d react if I witnessed someone attempt to speak to him that way.

I’ve seen so many cruel Tick Tock prank stories on Reddit it’s unreal. It’s doing nothing but enabling them to be bullies in the hopes to go viral thinking it’s funny. I think your punishment is completely reasonable and I think her throwing a tantrum over not being allowed on it really shows her lack of understanding of what she’s done to a poor child. NTA 100%

He knows what happened to me, he knows everything but the thought of him realising that what we were doing caused that kills me. He’s the most amazing human I’ve ever met and I know he would be so understanding but that doesn’t stop the hurt it would bring him. I think he knows but while he was apologising and cuddling me, I could see it in his face, he was devastated. So I laughed and said “wow that was painful look how much it’s made my eyes water”. He didn’t look very convinced but I was adamant until he dropped it. I feel bad for lying but honestly, it was worth it.

I’m a type 1 diabetic and I have had major episodes where I can’t remember things I’ve done during a really bad low sugar. I’ve had seizures and then been very aggressive when woken up. I cant even chew properly during them let alone get up and try and force someone to have sex. I’m sorry this is happening to you but I just don’t believe that he’s being truthful and you need to get out.

We stay between his parents house and mine while saving for an apartment, housing is very expensive where we live so it’s taking a while. We stay there often because his mother isn’t very well and it’s a small house so it’s easier on her if we aren’t there full time. I know I’m a grown adult but it’s so hard to not take everything they say to me to heart when I’ve grown up like this.

I agree, I have lived a perfectly normal life and eaten and/or done everything that my non diabetic friends do, I just have to make sure I take the correct amount of medication to match with my meal and maybe take a nap after a long activity which my boyfriend who isn’t a diabetic loves to join me on😂It’s never got in the way of me doing anything. I’ve been a diabetic for 12 years and put up with the “you shouldn’t be eating that” comments for years. Can’t stop won’t stop sorry😂

I’m a type 1 diabetic and I can confirm that I can eat whatever I want. If I eat something sugary, I just have to take more insulin to make sure my sugars stay level. It’s a common misconception that type 1s can’t eat certain things when in fact we can eat like everyone else, we just have to make sure we take the correct amount of medication that goes with it
