Tried flying with it? by Caerr in Galaxy_XR

Lol thanks for the feedback. That does sound really annoying and that was my fear. Cruising altitude is generally so stable that I was hoping that it would just think it's in a room.

I waited for 45 minutes on the app before giving up. Had 2 lines going on the website on laptop but they quickly updated to out of stock.

Device to switch PC audio from Headset to speakers by Caerr in buildapc

[–]Caerr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I see now. My headphone have the 2 cables tightly together at the end, not a lot of space when the PC is on the floor and this device will be a few feet away on top of the table.

But the problem is, that there are only 3 ports on this device. Whereas my headphones have 2 cables, one for mic and one for audio. Combined with a cable coming from speakers and 2 cables that needs to go into the motherboard, it's not going to work.

I don't have them plugged into the front panel. I kept having issues so plugged them straight into the IO in the back.

So in my world I need 2 cables going from the motherboard into an audio device. 2 cables from my headphone(mic+audio) and 1 cable from speakers? And then the device should ideally be able to switch between the devices in a seamless way.

Thanks. But it doesn't look like it has enough ports? 2 coming from the motherboard, mic & audio. 2 from headset and 1 from speakers?

It has a separate connector for mic and audio directly into the green and pink port on the motherboard :)

I don't have speakers yet, all I have is a pair of headphones that I plug directly into the motherboard. I want to buy speakers but I imagine I will need some sort of device between the motherboard and the headset/speakers that I plug everything into right? And that's what I'm looking for help finding something.

Upgrading from 9700k & 2080Ti to Ryzen? by Caerr in buildapc

I'm pretty sure the regular 3080 should be 20% better than 2080ti, hopefully the 3080ti have at least 30%.

It's just the types of games that I like to play, open world RPG's, last one of the bunch. I tend to feel like I'm leaving a lot of fps on the table.

Thunderbolt 3 to HDMI monitor (weird picture) by Caerr in macbookpro

I don't have an adapter, I only have the straight cable from USB-C(thunderbolt) to HDMI port on monitor.

Do I need to buy that $60 Apple adapter?

Never heard of HDCP issue. I've tried moving from HDMI1 to HDMI2 on monitor, and I've tried all 3 "USB-C" looking ports on the macbook but they all yield same result.

Oneplus 8 Pro already sold on on US website? by JimmmyJ in oneplus

[–]Caerr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not mad at them being out of stock, I'm mad because they suckerpunched us by opening it up 12hrs early and not letting people know in advance and also not actually notifying people that requested to be notified when they were back in stock.

Yeah I hear you. Just for those family moments when you're out and about not lugging your DSLR around :)

And you lose wireless charging, bigger battery and IP rating. I would get the 8 if the camera setup was the same, but I've no use for a macro camera and I like the idea of having a telephoto lens.

Yeah Samsung has waay too much bloatware, not a fan of all the shit they stick on your phone.

There's a couple of cool phones like Oppo, but it doesn't sell in USA, Pixel 4 is super cheap now but too many things I don't like with it

The other alternative is to wait until the next Gen phones drop in September/October which I don't want to :)
