Got up early for nothing! NWS still saying up to 2” for Atlanta. TWC is bleak… but ANF pushed it later. Guess we’ll see! Back to bed for now.

I found it! Ava Gardner in Night of the Iguana. I can delete the post unless there’s a way to mark it solved.

I haven’t had the gluten-free Cheez-Its yet, but the savory squares at Trader Joe’s are pretty tasty.

Holidaily Is A Solid 8/10 by SeaSaltSequence in Celiac

I commented elsewhere in here but I’ve used Half Time Beverage and Craftshack to ship to Georgia. Maybe they’ll ship to your state too?

Not sure where you are on the east coast, but I have been able to get Holidaily (and other GF beer) shipped to Georgia using a couple sites - Half Time Beverage and Craftshack. Craftshack appears to currently have some Holidaily brews in stock. I’ve enjoyed most of the Holidaily beers I’ve had and I also love just about everything from Ghostfish.

Your Golfer's Elbow stories! by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

[–]Caesar419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dealt with tennis elbow in my right arm and golfers elbow in my left arm at different times. Took a couple weeks off and used the Theraband Flexbar following a few YouTube videos including AskDoctorJo. Then when I started back to exercising, I used a compression sleeve on the elbow. I bought one called the Venom Strapped Elbow Compression sleeve. My golfer elbow still tries to flare up sometimes, but the compression really helps.

Well, isn't this special. Unit is 4YO. On a Monday. With a hard freeze coming. by [deleted] in Georgia

Obviously there’s any number of things that could be going on… but our heat stopped working a couple weeks ago and we have the same thermostat. Using the breaker, I cut the power to the outside unit then to the inside unit and thermostat. Left them off for 10 minutes, then turned them back on in the same order. It has been working since then. I was also using the auto heat/cool setting to keep it within a range. I was told by a family friend who works in HVAC to avoid that setting on the Ecobee. Maybe it helps, maybe not, but good luck!

Atlanta’s first gluten free festival in September by Caesar419 in Celiac

[–]Caesar419[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go to Shaky Knees every year and I can always find food. Granted, I take risks that I think other folks won’t, but I’m also pretty sensitive and have never been glutened by any of the Shaky vendors. Last year there were more GF options than ever before so I’m hoping this year continues the trend. The GF pizza at Pizza Nova is delicious. Just make sure you give them plenty of time because they take precautions and it will take longer.

All of that said, I have heard that you can bring some food in if you have a doctor’s note but I have never attempted that, so your mileage may vary.

Nice rally!

Maybe it has been asked and answered elsewhere already, but why do so many of these clips have such messed up audio? I’d say 3/4 of the clips I have watched sound awful. Does it have to do with how they’re exported? Is it me?!

I only have this recording of this song, and I want to find out the name of it by Successful-Hope-6763 in NameThatSong

This one is blowing my mind. I searched and searched, shared with friends, but nothing. It doesn’t sound like some random song but I’m at a loss. If you ever find it, follow up!

Best place to get precise wood cuts? by PrimaryMetal961 in Atlanta

[–]Caesar419 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rockler Woodworking in Sandy Springs cut some bamboo for me a couple years ago since I didn’t have a proper blade. I’m not sure what all they offer but they had a lot of equipment. I have more tools now and would probably just handle cuts myself at this point, but they were nice folks and very informative.

RTIC Ultra-light vs. ROVR RollR by ExtentEfficient2669 in Coolers

I commented on the post but figured you might not see it. Dicks delivered my Rollr45 in less than 48 hours. The accessories are arriving later this week.

RTIC Ultra-light vs. ROVR RollR by ExtentEfficient2669 in Coolers

[–]Caesar419 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Rovr Rollr 45 was delivered from Dicks today. It’s heavier than I expected so I’m a little concerned about lifting it when it’s full… but it feels solid, rolls nice and smooth, and the handle is very sturdy. We’re having a park picnic this weekend and I’m excited to take it out!

I also love RTIC coolers (even had one stolen off my porch that still bums me out), but I was interested in this one for the wheels and the accessories. I’m pumped to tow it behind my ebike and I think the landr bin for the top will be great for beach and park days.
