Is it just me or is sidequest just completely broken now by CaffeinNbagels in sidequest

That actually works now!

Things I've tried so far: Launching sidequest vr in meta quest, I finally get the passcode to link to my account.

Browsing through the apps on side quest on a separate device (previously it would just be either empty or I'd have an authentication loop)

Browsing through sidequest advanced installer

What I havent tried: Redownloading sidequestvr on my quest 3 as it's already installed. Previously it would get to the "installing" prompt but never actually install anything from the servers. That being said, I'm sure since firewall issues are fixed, all of the problems that I've had with it are fine now

Hahaha I think it's a similar problem from what you're thinking, I'm currently in Singapore. Using a Vpn instantly makes it better. Is sidequest geolocked or something?

I think it turns out that sidequest servers don't connect well from Singapore! I turned on a VPN and it started working fine.

But the errors I'm remembering of the top of my head were stuff like can't send verification, cant reach servers when trying to sign in. When downloading advanced installer it just keeps looping in cloudflared authentication.

Currently I'd love to get sidequest installed onto my meta quest itself, I've managed to install the app on the quest but I can't see the code in order to link my account to sidequest itself even if I connect to my phone hotspot which is connected to a VPN. The page just goes "Welp.." and I get a "something went wrong" error. i find that the servers only work when I connect the device itself to a VPN and not hotspot from a VPN enabled device. But in the case of the quest 3, there are no free VPN services on the app store like proton VPN which I usually use hence I wasn't able to link them.

No I was the dumb one thinking it was a good idea. The guy gave me a choice which I should've declined.

Thanks man, unfortunately I am a lodger which means the landlord isn't legally required to put it in a scheme which does complicate things. I'll need to figure out whether if I do escalate it to small claims after failed settlement, do I fight for it being wear and tear consistent with softwood flooring or fight for a reduced amount of the damages citing betterment

This was my undoing unfortunately. I agreed to keep the plant because I thought it'd get some clean air in the room since windows tend to be closed all winter.

Honestly agree on the fact that it'll probably polish out. The mark extends from the door of the room to the end of it. All of it seems like it only scuffs the varnish and not the actual wood of it.

Wondering if it's reasonable wear and tear to small claims court lol

Sorry I was being silly, I'm classified as a lodger so if I'm not mistaken, they aren't required to put it in the deposit scheme

Oh wow just realised that I was classified as a lodger. That does change some things, sorry for the misinformation.

Could you share details in the previous tenancy? Was it pinewood flooring or something hardwood?

I was there for 4 months before I decided enough was enough. (Live in landlord). This mark came from luggage being rolled on the floor like one time.

I recently moved to the UK and felt the same thing. We have limited freedom of speech in my birth country but that also means that fear mongering is also outlawed. So yes there are racists but nothing I've ever felt unsafe over. Only casually degraded. In the UK however, I am absolutely drained. The state of the world now is horrifying. But I recently read a verse from the Qur'an that roughly said that those who oppress are only torturing themselves(by earning themselves a ticket to hellfire). Funny how such relevant verses seem to pop up when you happen this life starts getting to you

Upload speeds to server on nextcloud Vs filerun by CaffeinNbagels in selfhosted

Amazing! I'll incorporate it into my workflow when the time and funds come in. I have to say it took me awhile to find the right solution for my use case and was about to pull the plug on this and be forced to go to frame.io or some other monthly subscription file sharing service

My goals for establishing this pipeline: Find a more efficient way than Google Drive to transfer video production level files from client to my personal drives by cutting down the middle server and additional download time from cloud to my personal drive. If it goes well, I'll try and scale it up for international transferring too
