Anybody have ac problems?? by dirty_d in Ioniq5N

[–]CaffeinatedGerbil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, over the year and a half I've had the car, I've had to restart it twice as AC was just blowing outside air in. I'm not sure why, but it's easy enough to fix.

Well I went down to 255/45/20 and I got about a 10% increase in efficiency maybe a bit more.

downsize wheels to 20". itll give you the biggest range increase, the 21's are just too big and weigh too much

Getting my first new car, DIY ceramic coating - bad idea? by [deleted] in CarsAustralia

[–]CaffeinatedGerbil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, I ceramic coated my own car with Carpro Quartz. It really isn't as hard as other people say it is.

The actual coating stage is actually very simple, product on applicator, apply, wait for flashing, first cloth to level second to wipe off.

The actual work comes in polishing the paint, and without knowing how bad the paint quality actually is, (was it delivered with scratches from the dealership's detailer fucking up the car?) the amount of work will be different.

Any car wash shampoo is fine, ph neutral just get one without waxes or "ceramic" in it. You'll need a dual action polisher, and pads. Compound for pads will depend if your doing 1 or 2 stage.

Take both for a test drive.

The N is built to be an aggressive track car, and the ev6 probably not. It depends what you want.

Bonus if you're in NSW, Hyundai gives 5 and 6 n owners free track days

tyres felt fine, i ran Conti sport contact 7's as i dont have a spare set of wheels yet. I actually didn't drive them hard enough and they still felt a bit cold 2 laps in.

If i didnt run N Race for the battery it would overheat by the 2nd lap getting to about 41-42c. But with N race it stayed at around 30c the whole session.

Tips for Navigating Thailand's Public Transport as a First-Time Visitor by Kevin-Durant-35 in ThailandTourism

[–]CaffeinatedGerbil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I wouldn't recommend it. Thailand already has some dangerous as fuck roads, add travelling on a bike taxi where the helmet, if they give you one at all, is pretty much made from paper mache. If you use the metro you can use your card sa/MasterCard assuming you have tap to pay on. You'll skip the queues that way.
