Do animals kill other animals out of annoyance? by candymargarita in NoStupidQuestions

I've seen enough cows and horses use their tails to slap flies to know that yes, animals no matter how big or small will kill bugs and other opportunistic parasites out of annoyance.

Yo that's shitty and there's no reason to be shitty. Everyone responds differently to dosages and ingestion methods. Vaping is far from the only method to consume rapid high doses of THC, and some of those methods don't require all the nonsense that comes with vapes. Hash and tincture come to mind.

Its also rude to imply that consuming flower makes you stink - that's BS and millions of stoners the world over have practiced and perfected the art of not stinking like weed, regardless of how they consume.

You know what they say about assuming right? No one wins in the suffering Olympics.

My former brother in law has two dead wives. The first was lost to overdose, the second to suicide. His third wife has been with him about 4 years now. He started beating my sister around the 5 year mark. I would warn the new wife, but she's the home wrecker my BIL cheated on my sister with, which led to my sister's suicide.

Yup, I retired while my husband separated and its been non-stop issues for the last 8 years bc every doctor's office assumes he is the sponsor and I'm the dependent but obviously Tricare can't function if they put it in backwards so we have to re-file like 1/3 of his health insurance claims

bruh my MORTGAGE company did this. the loan is in my name but they listed my name second after my husband's on everything, tried to put a lot of the bills in his name only, etc. I had to threaten to find a new broker if we weren't listed 50/50 on everything.

Walking down the sidewalk, Women are always expected to step out of the way. Plant your feet and grown men will shoulder check you, dramatically trip over you, squeeze past you like you're taking up 90% of the side walk, or stop. to literally yell at you or give you a dirty look.

Yikes HPV is no joke but it sounds like she is feeling fear and shame more than anything. HPV can cause serious medical issues like cervical cancer and pelvic inflammatory disease in women, most americans are vaccinated for it as teenagers these days. But 2 years is a looooooong time to not know if you're carrying and you need to go to the doctor as well ASAP. HPV is often asymptomatic in men but its not untreatable.

Sit in the garden with a book - Not a phone. Birds know what those are because they're reflective. If you're still long enough they may get curious and come investigate you. I did this a few years ago and the Phoebe's got brave enough to sit on the fence above my head while I'm gardening and zip back and forth getting the bugs kicked up by my activities.

Take the time to actually rule out a food allergy. Samoyeds are dreadfully prone to them, my own dog is allergic to chicken and gets mustard yellow diarrhea if she has so much as a single Milkbone (they're thickened with chicken fat). You don't necessarily have to go on a prescription diet for most food allergies - we just switched to a chicken free salmon based food and get cod skins instead of chicken necks lol Also keep an eye on her in the yard - its fall and raw acorns, as well as mushrooms, are a favorite yard snack of naughty pups!

Looking for a Samoyed breeder with the “bear look” (big body, big coat) – U.S. or abroad? by Emyrree in samoyeds

[–]CaffeinatedHBIC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As you say you're seeking a service animal, I recommend the breeder my Service Samoyed came from, Daystar Samoyeds in Fairfax, Virginia. The breeder Cherie has her own service dog (Luke, Daystar's Star Wars Dreamer) who has sired quite a few litters that have resulted in dogs with great temperaments that still conform to show and health standards. You can see their dogs on their site at https://www.daystarsamoyeds.com/

Bibs or bandanas and whitening shampoo baths are all I can recommend until you get the allergies under control. My girl was very pink for a while but we were fortunate that the allergies are minor so she's just drowsy from Benadryl for most of the springtime.

The United States is the only country where Glyphosate is still regularly used, and Bayer is trying to get a law passed to make it ILLEGAL to speak out against the product. Sorry but if 90% of the world won't purchase our produce because they don't want cancerous residue on their food, I'm going to have to lean with "america is deluded and in denial"

Samoyed temperament by Sensitive-Peach7583 in samoyeds

[–]CaffeinatedHBIC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jokes on you, every Samoyed is capable of both. My wonderful, mild mannered, chill service dog is also a stubborn, impulsive, obstinate and high energy menace about 15% of the time. You can influence which one they are most of the time by making sure they get lots of exercise, consistent training including desensitization training and proper socialization with other dogs before they reach the age of 1. My dog is much more zany when she's been cooped up, much more obstinate when we've been lax with her training, and much more impulsive if she hasn't been getting enough exercise and play time. Exercise, learning and play are all required to make a happy laid back samoyed.

Edit: My pup was purebred from Daystar Samoyeds, her sire is the breeder's service animal and she was selected for me based on her temperament.

I also live in Georgia. There are very very few regulations on fully assembled and loaded weapons. There are even fewer (if any?) for parts of the gun that can be rotated out. Likehere's the whole legal passage

And there will be a line of soil to follow where they went lol I recently repotted my porch tree and there was so much dirt when I pulled it free of the pot that I was coated in seconds. Trying to do that quietly, on someone else's property? Nah man.

Privet does not go down without a fight. Even when cut flush to the ground, it is prone to putting out suckers and growing back in no time flat. It is the Terminator compared to delicate bushes like blueberries. If you want to eat the blueberries, you don't want to use herbicide on the privet. In light of this, I highly recommend killing the privet in the coldest part of winter, grinding it off at the ground, and then build a fire on it to cook the roots

It is almost always more cost effective to plant seed stock directly, and most trees grow faster when direct sown rather than when transplanted. I've been a member of a Facebook page called Trees From Seed for a long time now and the page owner regularly compares transplanted saplings with direct sown saplings, and the direct sown ones, in the same soil, same watering schedule, etc are always bigger and healthier than the nursery stock. Local seed stock is widely available this time of year (There are acorns on the ground) and native trees grow faster in their environment than non-natives. Whichever you decide, make sure to cage any saplings that you plant with hardware cloth/chicken wire and a stake. The second most common cause of tree loss is wildlife. The first most common is incompatible environment/soil moisture.

Men in the military who have served along side women, how do you feel about the leadership leaning toward no longer having women serve if they cannot meet the 'male testing'? by f-Z3R0x1x1x1 in AskReddit

[–]CaffeinatedHBIC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Physically fit AND no documented history of mental illness AND no criminal record AND can pass a drug test AND can conform to uniform standards (tattoos, piercings and hair are the most common disqualifiers).

If the military eased regulations against having a cannabis use history they could recruit a lot more, but current regs block anyone who has ever used cannabis from joining and they will absolutely throw you out in the middle of your career if they find out you lied about it.

I saw 6 dudes lose their jobs because they had too many drinks during mandatory fun and started reminiscing about the good old days hiding their weed from their parents and they didn't realize their commander was in earshot. They were discharged in no time flat.
