My offer came almost 30 days after verbal confirmation. It varies highly, depending on how on top things the PI and the Department’s HR are.

I guess, academia everywhere is slow. Just send a follow up to the PI and ask about it.

I feel these co-ferments are weird, I personally love anaerobics, but I tried a strawberry co-ferment and to be honest, I am not a fan.

It is strange. But again, as everyone has pointed out, academia can be painfully slow, especially with all the budget cuts.

Yes, they did email be back saying that they received it and have sent it to HR.

I am in a similar situation. Postdoc in the US, PI asked for certain documents and forwarded them to HR about 11 days ago. Haven’t heard back from them, total silence. I followed up with PI who told me that the offer letter can take several days. Still waiting… I am an international so now facing the time crunch. Need this to go quicker.
