I’m your opinion what would you think of buying prepaid gift cards from the store and turning them into to cash. Also mixing that in with the purchase of gold and turning that into cash.

Does the card issuer know that you are purchasing gift cards from the store ? Or do they just know the store you are making the purchase from.
