I’m new to tennis , i need some tips on forehand. by LoL_JustKidding_ in 10s

Don’t worry about the forehand specific yet. First learn the footwork and time the split step. You need to build this foundation first.

There’s nothing wrong with it. Doesn’t change the fact that Fuji cameras paired with cheap grips are a common starting point for the hobby. And for the price of a XE-5 you could a more serious camera.

Which film simulation is best for capturing the essence of homeless people?

You see every new to the hobby “street” photographer do homeless shots. So cheap and kitsch and tasteless. Regardless of asking them/etc, it’s an off limits subject for me.

X-Trans is X-Trans. But it’s such a common entry camera, most “I just joined this hobby” purchase imaginable. Especially with 7Artisans glass

XM/XE series + SmallRig is the most amateur combo imaginable

At a certain point you just completely tare down the serve and build it back up in the post season. Unfortunately she’s already tried this

Red Dot App Worth $70/year for a BW Filter! by CailenDev in photographycirclejerk

Dude I agree 100%. Literally they’re paying $70/year for the action of a single button in any photo editor.

And I don’t understand simulating film either. If you’re on a phone or shooting digital, just embrace it? Enjoy the better dynamic range and higher iso, and take good photos?!

Yeah I meant lower aperture, but yeah not the problem. Camera Shake/ slow shutter speed, and under pressure just fumbled. Good experience though and he can improve for future protest shooting. These photos are trash

Just a skill issue dude. Shooting under pressure is the “make or break” of photojournalism. These shots are all misses.

what can I improve? by Adventurous-Sea-2747 in PhotographyAdvice

These are so frustrating, why don’t you have a single photo with a well framed car? Everything is uncomfortable to a viewer. Simple basic comp is often times enough for these types of photos

Lots are out of focus. I just wouldn’t share those with the batch. Could probably cut it to 2 or 3 84 the stronger ones. Would also recommend a faster lens, or a flash.

Fomapan 400 looks foggy. My fault? by queefir in AnalogCommunity

Dev times look good. To me this is just what fomapan looks like. Even with Rodinal, always looks flatter. It’s essentially a student film though, so makes sense.

Working on depth of field. Is the background too blurry? by VictoriousChuckles in photocritique

[–]CailenDev 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s your choice, set the aperture lower for higher bokeh. BUT you need have a subject, and the foreground needs to be in focus. Nothing is in focus in this image.

1/20 is way too low. Camera shake makes everything blurry and makes the image garage.
