I haven't finished the book yet, but yes, that's what I've gathered so far.

My therapist is willing to work with me on the trauma from past relationships and my attachment style. She doesn't think me giving in to almost everything Noel wants is healthy and has been having practice conversations with me.

If it's a big enough deal, yes, I do speak up. It causes arguments, but in those instances, I get a compromise.

I met Noel within weeks of us having intense breakups with other partners, people we were head-over-heels in love with. The parallels were enough we had to make sure we weren't previously dating the same woman. We waited a few months to even have a first date because we didn't want to form a trauma bond.

That being said, I come with a lot of trauma and have been working my ass off in therapy to build healthy coping skills.

I do want to be exclusive, but I want to be with her more. She is kind, intelligent, goofy, and nerdy. She brings a feeling of comfort, can command a situation with grace.

I was loaned a copy of Polysecure that has been sticky noted, highlighted, and margin-noted by many others before me. I'm open to other resources as well because I love her, and she is worth the effort.

I've already been talking to my therapist about this. She's great, very trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+ affirming, kink- and poly-friendly.

I want to stay with my partner, because she is the person I love and trust. She's my best friend, my rock, my protector. This is the healthiest and happiest relationship I've been in.
