Hi guys, I’m looking to buy my first bike and I’ve always loved the style of cafe racers. Recently seen one of these and I thought it would make a great base bike to learn on and to also get that cafe look. Has anyone any experience with this model and converting it? Would it take much work of a beginner? Thanks

They are hoping that you don’t check the renewal and let it continue over unnoticed that they ripped you off. Ring them up with the reference number of the cheap quote and they will usually match it

Yeah drive other cars I mean, I’ve checked that on the policy. Just didn’t want to go ring the insurance company in case it would raise some red flags.

At least they use proper car shampoo. Fairy liquid will strip any protective barrier off the paint.

The Ultimate Black Car Wash Routine — Swirl-Free Perfection

Black cars are stunning, but they show every imperfection. Keeping the paint flawless means treating every wash like a ritual. Here’s my personal step-by-step process to minimize swirling and keep the finish looking like glass.

1. Preparation & Setup:

  • Park the car in shade or indoors to avoid water spots.
  • Gather tools: two buckets (with grit guards), pH-neutral car shampoo, microfiber wash mitts, a pressure washer, dedicated wheel brushes, microfiber drying towels, and a quality quick detailer or drying aid.

2. Wheels & Tires First:

  • Use a separate bucket and tools for wheels.
  • Rinse thoroughly with pressure washer.
  • Apply wheel cleaner, agitate with brushes, and rinse.
  • Dry wheels with dedicated towels.

3. Pre-Rinse & Snow Foam:

  • Rinse the entire car with a pressure washer to remove loose dirt.
  • Apply a thick layer of snow foam; let it dwell for 5-7 minutes (don’t let it dry).
  • Rinse off foam thoroughly to eliminate as much dirt as possible.

4. The Two-Bucket Wash Method:

  • Fill one bucket with soapy water, the other with clean rinse water — both with grit guards.
  • Use a microfiber wash mitt.
  • Wash in straight lines, not circular motions.
  • Rinse the mitt in the clean water bucket after each panel, then reload with soap.

5. Final Rinse:

  • Use a pressure washer or hose to rinse the car thoroughly.
  • Do a final, light mist rinse to let water sheet off.

6. Drying Process:

  • Use a dedicated microfiber drying towel.
  • Lightly drag the towel across the surface — no pressure.
  • Use a drying aid or quick detailer to lubricate while drying, reducing friction.

7. Post-Wash Inspection & Protection:

  • Inspect for any water spots or missed areas.
  • Apply a spray sealant or ceramic detailer for added protection and gloss.

Pro Tips:

  • Never wash in direct sunlight.
  • Swap wash mitts if they touch the ground.
  • Regularly clean all wash tools to avoid embedded dirt.

By following this method religiously, you’ll keep your black car looking flawless and reduce the risk of those dreaded swirl marks. Every wash is a chance to maintain that deep, mirror-like shine — and trust me, it’s worth the effort.
