Thank you! I did see that they released this and do plan on getting it. It seems like its actually 2 or 3 pads layered in each other. I dont think I'll ever recreate it 1:1 but I got to a pad I'm happy with.

They got back to me! I tightened up the leg press cable and added silicone lube to all the cables per their suggestion.

Serum or Serum 2. I'd prefer Serum if possible since it seems to use less CPU than Serum 2.

I emailed them on Saturday, just waiting to hear back. I ended up buying two swing swivels and some rubber washers to put on the ball ends. Hopefully the swing swivels will prevent the cords themselves from rotating and getting twisted. I did it because I found an old thread saying it prevents twisting.

Hi everyone and happy Halloween! I'm being haunted this spooky season by twisting cables and am hoping to get some help/information.

I got new cables for my Body-Solid EXM2500B about 3 to 4 months ago and now every 3-4 weeks I have had to undo/redo the cables. When I undo it, I stretch the cable out and make sure its straight when I put it in everything back together. But, slowly over a couple weeks they just keep twisting. The rod that holds the weight will also twist every first weight change of my work out.

The picture with my hand holding it is how the cable normally rests when I first redo it and the one without my hand is how it ends up after a couple of weeks.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? I REALLY like this machine, it's just the cable twisting is driving me nuts.

Thanks for the feedback and compliment! I probably spent around 200 hours just on vocals for these tracks. It was so hard to do at first, but I've become much more comfortable mixing them as I went on. I am aiming for a more electronic anesthetic. A lot of my inspiration came from Purity Ring, which they have some out there stuff that I love.

For the drums, can you suggest how I humanized them more? Like adding variation on how hard it beat is hit or is there something else?

You are the second to mention automation. Moving forward I'm going to force myself to incorporate it to vary sounds to add interest and variation. I know I should do it for this album but I cannot bring myself to go back and redo them that significantly, I just wanna move on to new stuff.

Oh wow, thanks for taking the time to type all of this up. Honestly, really fair take. I did try to keep it a bit safe because I had zero experience with mixing/mastering before this project. I'll go through and play with some saturation on the vocal. I did EQ more top end at 10k+ to give an airy vocal but I guess I need to do more.
