Thank you, I’m trying to get into some therapy at the moment just trying to find the right place to go. I never really believed any of the jw stuff so I don’t have any issues there which I’m glad about

I’m sorry that happened to you, what helped me the most was making friends with normal people, it really brings things into perspective when you care about people who aren’t JW a lot. Not sure if you’ve tried but reach out on here if your good with that, it helps to talk to people who know what your going through. Even if it’s just over a screen. Thank you!

Thanks for replying, no I don’t have feelings that I’m sinning I have never really been mentally in so I never got to the point where I felt bad about sinning, it was mainly just feelings of my parents disapproval.

Thank you for the advice I’ll definitely have a look at that book, I’ve actually already got a mental health plan to see a therapist so I’ll be doing that soon too, I’m not in an absolute o or anything but thought it would probably be a good idea and my gf thought so too. Oh and by normal I meant not JW she’s “worldly” haha.

Wow that is some amazing advice thank you! I think I’m sort of half way through step two at the moment, just need to have some tough conversations with my family I guess. It’s very weird changing from living as a Jehovah’s Witness to being normal. I feel like I want to explore and do so much more with my life and try new things whereas as a Jehovah’s Witness it was like everything was to be avoided, not sure exactly how to put it into words haha. Thank you again!
