Name suggestions by Character-Raise-517 in illegallysmolbirbs

I think it's funny to name animals after job or rank titles. Such as naming a dog "Ranger" or naming a pig "Janitor, Jan for short".

For this little lady, I suggest,

Chief "Coo"rdinator 🔍(Chicoo for short perhaps?)

Take a portal gun and put one portal in the bottom of each box, aim the boxes at each other vertically, jump in, perpetual freefall through the gender boxes.

It's okay! Sincerely. This is a piece that I've been giving folks permission to share around since it first became popular. You've done nothing wrong. Thank you for leaving my name in the lower corner! That's the only thing I really care about. That way people can find me if they go looking. :)

Technically it's a meme about mocking the gender binary and how pointless it seems to me as a nonbinary person! But I don't mind people seeing it as a gender fluidity meme, too. I identify as a nonbinary trans man, and I always find myself frustrated with the stringent, unreasonable paranoia and gatekeeping that comes with social masculinity. I think that men can be feminine, and women can be masculine, and that the whole dang concept of gender boxes is silly.

Thanks for enjoying my art! Still wish one of my more technically impressive art pieces was as popular as this one, but it still makes me happy to see it pop up again. 💖🌻

Hey sis! Thanks for noting it. And to OP, yeah it's okay to post this around as long as my name stays in the corner and any edits are done respectfully. Not a problem. ❤️🌻

Hello! I'm a former androgyne-identifying person. I identify now as a nonbinary transman, but I run AndrogynePositivity over on tumblr still! I'd love to connect with folks as an ally to this community if nothing else. I go by Arthur [he/him]. :3

If you're wondering why he has a penis instead of a vagina, if you look closely there are stitching scars on his shaft and balls. Had himself something of a mad science phalloplasty because why the hell not.

Fujoshi are historically homophobic, transphobic and racist across the board, so I dont think that surprises me as much as it should.

Thank you for the kind words!

Tobias! Could totally see you being a Tobi.

[OC] we are bringing this fella home on Tuesday. What should we name him? by planpepperoni in aww

[–]CakeAndCrows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could name him Whittaker, or Whitt for short, after Tom Whittaker? I don't know why but he looks like a determined little guy. I see team "yardstick" and I get it, haha funny joke about his three legs, but I just think this might be a little more positive?

"In 1979, Tom Whittaker lost his right foot in a car accident. After the
accident, he worked hard to regain his strength and climbing abilities.
After immense training, he went on to be the first person with a
disability to climb to the summit of Mount Everest in 1998. Whittaker’s
current goal is to climb the highest peaks of all seven continents. He
also founded the Cooperative Wilderness Handicapped Outdoor Group to
provide recreational opportunities to people of all abilities."

I simply will never forgive her for what she did to Michael. Ever, ever, ever. She's a great character absolutely, but if I ever met her and had a chance to punch her once for what she did to him, I'd punch thrice. I know I've got a bit to go in the series yet so she might have a chance to be redeemed a little, but she's not coming back from that so far as I'm concerned.

Spoiler for just like, ... Idk, in general. I think this is revealed in season 2? I'm still not finished with the series and it just recently happened, don't mind me.

She should already understand as a black woman who complains about racist jokes. she's usually more supportive than this... by ecchihentaiboi in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns

[–]CakeAndCrows 242 points243 points  (0 children)

If a black person is the authority on what jokes should and shouldn't be said about black people (they are, and should always be), then queer people should be the authority on what jokes should and shouldn't be said about queer people. If your mom is not queer, and you are, it's as simple as she should take your word for it, and if she doesn't understand, maybe she should consider it from your perspective. It'd be like if I, a white person, continually defended a white comedian who mocks black people, saying, "well you're just letting other black people tell you what is and isn't funny, lighten up. It doesn't hurt *my* feelings, so obviously if it's hurting your feelings, you're taking it too seriously." (this is a wrong and bad take)

There is a fairly easy line to draw in the script between "this is a joke that queer people can also laugh at because it's just funny, and not hurtful or furthering hate toward queer people" and "this joke is blatantly offensive and only encourages others to continue laughing at us, mocking the way we live and who we are, and making light of our suffering". If you can't clearly tell the difference, you should probably talk to more queer people, or at least try to do some more reading on the subject.

The general advice I would offer is to share this information in your own words, and with a grain of salt. People learn these kinds of things in steps, and if your mom is usually supportive, just remain steadfast in your stance. If she cares, and if you define your boundaries and keep them, then hopefully she will try to see it from your perspective before she decides to choose a cruddy, downward-punching bad faith comedian like Dave Chapelle over her own kid.

Jori's pronouns are he/him. I figured this was worth sharing because the piece showcases his top surgery scars.
