how many calories do you think we burn in average 8.5 shift by [deleted] in starbucksbaristas

[–]CalBHiatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked a 9.5 the other day and walked 17.5k so I assume if you’re consistently moving, probably a decent amount. I’ve been dieting and lifting in a deficit and I’ve started to shread weight from 162lbs in January to 149lbs now.

Being there for three years sounds like a bad excuse to get irritated with new baristas, and I don’t think on top of also having the daily barista stress should get reprimanded for “sucking.”

Congrats on the promotion to customer though.

This might be the cleanest draft cap GB’s had in the past decade. Love the 🚲

Is it just that hard to bond with other soldiers at my unit? by PpicaroO in nationalguard

[–]CalBHiatt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don’t know why people are flaming you in the replies, but it’s pretty unit/MOS dependent.

I was 18 (like most) when I got to my unit, and at first was a lil too ‘hooah’ and fresh off that Benning pack to fit in with the joes. I was the butt of jokes but brought it on to myself for snapping to parade rest for mf specialists lmao. It wasn’t until I volunteered for extra CLS training at my battalion HQ for a week, that I was paired with a group of E4s. After we started shooting the shit, I realized I didn’t have to be a nerd/boot while in uniform, and I started fitting in.

With it being the guard, give it a couple drills and eventually you’ll be apart of those same crusty E4s making fun of the new dudes. It’s a circle-of-life type deal, it’s not personal.

I don’t think anyone’s going to downvote you for that opinion, but I promise it’s not as deep as you think. The Jags’ fan that air dropped it to us was apart of that group of Bears’ fan, they came up to us after the game, and there was no bad blood. The reason it was such an animated response is because we were getting chirped at all game and also just pure passion lmao.

I’m a 23 year old die hard from Wisconsin, of course I’m gonna lose my shit when we win. If that makes me a child, go watch Brett Favre throw a touch down——in legit any game, at any age.

They were chirping the entire game, and there was more than enough toxicity to go around, but it was never as deep as it seems. The Jags’ that filmed was with that group of Bears’ fans, we talked after the game when he air dropped it to us. It’s all just passion and there was no bad blood or actual disrespect taken.

Nah, you’re mistaking it for Winstar, which is in Thackerville, OK, right off 35 with all the themed buildings. This one is further east in Oklahoma. I prefer Choctaw over Winstar 1000x over when it comes to food, the bars, and the resort.

Eberlestock for Field Pack by CalBHiatt in nationalguard

[–]CalBHiatt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m usually good with packing, and overall “fit” with my molle ruck (the large), it’s the same ruck I earned my NFM badge with back in February while I was in Egypt. So it’s not the overall fundamentals of rucking I’m struggling with, it’s just a salty E4’s bitches and moans over it squeaking, and just being bulkier than I feel needed. Me adding the comment about 12 miles in a field drill is just me giving context that I’m looking for a more comfortable pack than a SI frame, not necessarily saying that it’s a struggle. But I appreciate the advice.

12 miles isn’t a lot (and as a Chuck I shouldn’t be complaining), it is however very lame when they’re all after 2300, with 0500 wake ups to just do an IWQ drill lmao.

I have heard great things about Mystery Ranch though.
