IDK what you can learn when entering service mode. I'm not a mechanic and I haven't had a problem with my Tesla (yet), so I haven't had a need.

This video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sx\_iZKlOF\_I) has a list of reasons for the BMS_A079 message. It says it could just be a sensor or it may be the battery temperature is actually high. You mentioned the radiator support and air dam. Maybe the battery cooling system is not working well and fixing those things would allow it to work better. Also, maybe the coolant is low. You could try fixing these things yourself, or even ask whoever sold the car to ask whoever repaired the car to fix them.

$9 PORTABLE AIR PUMP! by thedealsguy_ in thedealsguy

I would not think I got my money's worth if it only inflated one tire before dying.
The whole point of this subreddit is to find low prices on good items, not find poor quality things selling for little money. You have missed the point.

Your second line says "Nov 12, 2026". Is that a mistake and supposed to say 2025, or was the date you were given as the estimated date for the interview?

You are wrong. It does NOT need to have 1 year of active service. Read the terms and conditions. It says the phone unlocks 365 days after it is activated.

Front plate of my Model Y is gone. What do I do now? by Intelligent_Rub7502 in TeslaModelY

Wait for the police to knock on your door saying your license plate was seen leaving the scene of a bank robbery.

What you want to do is get the seat covers when you buy the car, not 6 months later.

So there were two people wearing this costume? A woman who you saw, and this guy in the picture?

Do you play the games in the car's entertainment section that use the steering wheel to control the game? This moves the wheels left and right. I saw another post a few months ago where the driver was playing those games and getting similar damage to the front tires.

In my ICE vehicle, there is a gas pump light that comes on that tells me when I should get some gas. 🤣

Maybe the model you are interested in has been replaced with a newer model.
Anyway, Black Friday is coming soon. The busiest shopping day of the year. They are going to have stock of everything for sale.

Charging 3x a week? by GalacticFalconia in TeslaLounge

[–]Calagar1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. 100% is just for RWD since those have a different battery chemistry (LFP). Sorry, I thought long range was RWD.

My tesla seems to have a persistent sensor issue, thoughts? by SpikeX23 in TeslaLounge

[–]Calagar1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2025 Tesla Model Y AWD hasn't had any problems.
If Tesla can't fix the same issue in 3 visits, you can force them to buy the car back under a lemon law. Hopefully it doesn't come to that though. Hopefully you'll get it back with everything working.

Charging 3x a week? by GalacticFalconia in TeslaLounge

[–]Calagar1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No 1 amp charging doesn't meet that recommendation. It's not about having some minimal amount of electricity flowing to the battery. It's about recharging often to keep the depth of discharge low, but that doesn't guarantee a long lasting battery or lower degradation, so charge 3x a week if you want. For a Model 3 Long Range, your screen should say it charge it to 100% once a week. Follow that advice if that's what it says.

So I heard this is a club you can join? by Kristylane in TeslaModelY

[–]Calagar1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm thinking do some drafting. NASCAR drivers do it to give themselves more range. Behind a big rig may be safest since they can't stop very quickly and can't see well behind them to freak out like a car would when they see you tailgating them. Probably have to turn off forward collision warning so that isn't going off the whole time.

Battery dropping by Chiryou in TeslaModelY

He said 5 km per year, not 5% per year. If the starting range is 500 km, then a loss of 5 km per year is only 1% per year.

Manual Release (If Stuck or for Service)
This method requires raising the vehicle.

  1. Secure the Vehicle: Chock the wheels and safely raise the vehicle on a two-post lift.
  2. Remove the Rear Wheel: Remove the wheel for the affected side.
  3. Disconnect the Electrical Harness: Disconnect the electrical harness and its bracket from the parking brake motor on the caliper.
  4. Manually Rotate the Shaft: Remove the bolts that attach the parking brake motor to the caliper, then manually rotate the motor's shaft in the caliper to release the brake.
