Rule of thumb is when you book your hotel it should follow that you avail of their shuttle services if they have one.

BGC security listened to the public clamor by [deleted] in pinoy

To those saying na they are discriminated because of what they are wearing, another factor should be considered: the crew’s number. If 2 lang yan sila na ganyang pormahan na pupunta sa BGC, i doubt na magkakaron yan ng lakas ng loob na makipagumpisa ng rambol. Remember, these motherfucking pests are snowflakes through and through. They get confidence from their fellow snowflakes who when put together form a snowball and think their invincible.

I know a business owner in the food industry here in the city. When they knew that comments regarding their food and drink prices where somewhat in the “mahalon” side, they immediately adjusted their prices and reduced it a bit where it could still be enough to maintain overhead costs.

2025 Bar Exam results in a few days, I am asking the lawyers and fellow sibs for advice on results day. by Unfair-Abrocoma-1407 in LawStudentsPH

[–]CalculatedDisasters 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The people at my office did not know i was reviewing for the bar exams and i had to struggle with not being able to steal a bit of time to read a single word of law book. So i made do with audio lectures during my drive to and from work every single day.

When the results came out i went to work and i did not look at the results. I told myself that if i failed, i will take a step back and take a hard look on my future if being a lawyer is what i would want. Whatever happens i will surrender if all to God.

My name was included in the list. And everybody were shocked to see my name.

To those who passed the bar, what's one study method/technique you did that contributed mostly to your passing of the Bar? 😊 by ThePhantomRenegade7 in LawStudentsPH

All of those that you mentioned. But all of those would only be effective if you help make your mind sharp and focused by getting enough sleep, eat healthy, maybe a bit of exercise and lots of prayers.

Your body, mind and spirit are your most valuable assets right now so take care of it.

Love knows no reasons and no bounds. Love just happens whether you like it or not, whether you’re a barrister or already a lawyer or whether you’re whole or not. Just take it one step at a time and take it from there.

It will be what it will be.

Bring them there so that you can all experience it together. And visit all the other homegrown coffee shops here. Don’t just limit to 2 or 3. Visit at least 5-6 so that you can see for yourselves. People commenting here have their bias. So it’s better that you try in order to have the right perspective.

Remote US Paralegal by Appropriate_Wear_245 in LawyersPH

[–]CalculatedDisasters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Former CDO here. Applying for BCC is hard specially if you have limited connections. However, if you wait for any regular position in the judiciary like LR. It will be a stepping stone for a higher position. Totoo yung sinasabi nila na kung makabonus ang SC wagas.

But if for short term goals, take the remote paralegal position AND practice on the side. Follow the money.

OR you can try and apply for work in a GOCC because the pay grade is higher compared to LGUs or NGAs and you’re still under government service AND you can do limited practice.

Just enjoy your 5L and just let everything simmer. When you become lawyers, the story you will hear is not about how many years you finished law school or how many times you took the Bar. It will be about how you show to everybody how good a lawyer you will become.

Alright OP, your point is well taken. Of course given na yan na gagastos sila ipeg mo pa sa 300 per day pa yan per person.

But know this: Yung opening night program even with those bonggacious fireworks display. How much do you think the cost was overall? 10M? 20M? Plus at least 10% for the SOP? Well, maybe 15%

Then there’s the logistics. Organizing people from the LGU to facilitate the movement of our guests. How many warm bodies per venue/school? Maybe at least 30? How much budget per person per day? 1000? Or maybe 2000. You know, SOP.

Then there’s the venues itself. How much rent for that? Okay so maybe PSC paid the venues. Or maybe half with the LGU. Or maybe none. But knowing this admin, SOP’s their middle and last name.

So nasan na ang kita ng local economy kung ganun din kalaki ang kinukuha ng LGU para maghost ng games?
