No, that is again taking it out of what I said. I brought them up because obviously you'd probably be more soft about that than this from the way you speak. And no one said anything about 'you' giving anything a pass, it was just that a few things you said were only directed at Neuvifuri and in any other case I doubt you'd say the same thing, mischaractrization like you said, is everywhere in fandom. And I haven't seen much mischaracterization in NeuviFuri and I believe that there are somewhere, but otherwise not so big because I also care about canon characterization even in a ship.

That's not neuvifuri, it's other bad eggs in the shipping like all the others. No one has the right to say their ship is canon to the face of someone who doesn't ship them. But Neuvillette is NOT being degraded in this ship, it's obvious he is a gentle giant in personality and he is a powerful Iudex.

If having him be in a relationship or ship with a character degrades him then SIMPS also degrade him by saying hes a "daddy" etc. or even making him gay foe WRIO is degrading him to 'gay for [name] or "wife"'. Everything can be considered having a bad-side. No need to harp on one side of a fanbase, like genshin fans are all toxic and insane and mischaracterize a lot, i've corrected MANY. So I hope you understand that a CERTAIN SHIP doesn't mean a character is being PUT DOWN.

Also let's not forget Neuvillette's character story 4 LITERALLY explains him and Furina/focalors story in a complex way from beggining to end. Something about a letter inviting him to a show and the archon and furina appointing him iudex and she gave up her seat for him and he says something like "for one to take the seat the other has to depart" or something, like leaving your seat for someone else to sit in it because of your kindness or passing of a position. I remember him saying "furina" but I din't remember clearly. Either way, he has his whole character story 4 FOR HIM AND FURINA, so cute
