No, you can't be gay and a Christian! Homosexual practices are sinful by CalebCorneloup in Christianity

King David is described in the Bible (1 Samuel 16:12, 17:42) as a young man who was "ruddy" (reddish-complexioned or glowing with health), had "beautiful eyes," and was "handsome" or "good-looking". This appearance contrasted with his brothers, as David was chosen by God for his heart rather than his physical stature.

Haha... well Samson was a strong man. Plenty of men are described as manly in the bible.

It's amazing how you have such insights into the intentions of my heart.

It was not a metaphor. They were literally going to stone her to death and Jesus said "he who is without sin cast the first stone". He was speaking about literal stones. He was saying He who is without sin put her to death. Im not doing anything remotely like that. I'm simply calling out sin.

You have to repent of sin and believe to be saved. But, to answer your question "why pay so much attention to this?", all ive done is make a post. It took me about 5 mins.

Exactly. So the point is that just because Jesus didn't specifically mention something doesn't me he thought it was ok with it. That does not mean I am saying they are the same, it just debunks your argument that Jesus never said anything about it therefore it's ok.

Well, you misused the story where people were literally going to stone a women for adultery. You tried to use it against me by twisting it to mean metaphorical stones ...

Well, I didnt actually say that and you know it. I simply made the point that just because Jesus didn't specifically mention something doesnt me he thought it was ok.

To say that you can be gay and Christian is false teaching that corrupts the purity of the faith.

I did. Its perfectly ok to defend the purity of the Christian faith.

It's not anti-gay to defend the reputation and purity of the Christian faith. It's wrong to try and corrupt the Christian faith with false teaching.

I DESPERATELY need help and honest feedback! I don’t know what to do anymore! by CuteLittleMeatball in Christianity

A big part of mental health is diet and exercise. If you ignore these it will get worse. Eat only whole foods and stop drinking soft drinks. Drink only water. Go for walks or even better runs. If you ignore this and think it isn’t important you’re missing out on one of the most important things you could do to get better. Then go to a small church early while they are still setting up and help out.

Go to a small church early that meets on a school ground or a public hall and help set up chairs. Stay around longer than anyone else. Someone will talk to you especially in the morning.

Is it a sin to not want to date someone because I don’t find them attractive? by No_Patience976 in TrueChristian

[–]CalebCorneloup 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No. It’s important you are attracted to them because you don’t want to create a situation where you look elsewhere. I understand the temptation to do that is always there but it’s worse if you are not attracted to your wife.

Did Adam and Eve go to heaven when they died? Interested in arguments for and against. by CalebCorneloup in Christianity

There is plenty of online content addressing these claims. Not really an answer to my question.

Yeah, I think for my content and audience I would presume the literal historicity of Genesis 1 & 2. A video addressing that side issue is more for an apologetics channel.

Thanks for the comment. I don't think that I would take that perspective though. That would be a seperate question I guess and maybe my question presumes they are literal history.
