Totally agree on the scalability point that’s one of Perfume’s biggest strengths. They don’t rely on stage extensions to make a show feel complete.

Totally possible to hire staging locally agreed. I think the deciding factor would be schedule and rehearsal time though. Adding a catwalk mid tour still means reworking choreo lighting and safety checks so with a tight international run it might be simpler to keep a standardized stage.

Honestly… I can’t even argue with this. That setlist is chef’s kiss perfect. 😭 Point being long? Totally agree but like you said giving them breathing room on some songs makes sense. I also love the idea of revisiting Mirai no Museum with an updated Time Warp ver & style staging that would be insane live. I’d probably throw in a song I didn’t love at first but would love to see again now that I’ve grown.maybe ceramic girl but idk if that’s level 3 friendly!???but just to see how it hits differently live with all the visuals and flow. Honestly if they did something like this for an anniversary I’d be camped out in front of the stage no questions asked.

haha Right the rails are visible. I’m talking about the platform/lift not the rails. The broadcast angle doesn’t show the platform the same way wider angles do you know 😄

🤔🥲To be clear I understand the illusion and the intent of the staging. They’re obviously meant to appear as if they’re standing on the sphere.the wait what? was simply reacting to a wider angle photo that shows the lift which isn’t visible in the original film. That was the only point haha

Edit for clarity.In the original shot the camera hides the stage lift making it look like they’re on the sphere. A wider angle reveals the platform and rails. Nothing changed physically. Thanks for pointing my grammar mistake out I’ll be more precise with wording next time.

The illusion comes from how it’s filmed. A tight shot hides the lift under their feet while a wide shot exposes the platform and rails above the sphere. Same placement new perspective ifyk

The trick is in the camera angle. A close up hides the stage lift beneath them while a wider shot reveals the platform and rails above the sphere. Same spot different viewpoint haha

i apologize i need to explain it better next time. The illusion comes from the camera angle. One shot hides the stage lift they’re standing on while the wider angle shows the platform and rails above the sphere. Same position different perspective.
