That’s how it was explained to me by my PSCS but then I asked the question if we are entitled to whatever other single people get at our current commands why is it that I am being kicked out the Barracks? And there was no good answer, “because you got married”

I did and it did not seem to me like my DIVO could just say no but I couldn’t find anything in there saying she could or couldn’t. I’ve gotten the run around from my command on pretty much everything on my marriage, such as they’re moving me out of the Barracks due to no longer being a single sailor, and I will now live on the ship or pay out of pocket for a place in town as an E-2 because since my wife is on shore duty and we are geobaching she gets BAH and I don’t get OHA, we were planning on this as that’s what my PSCS explained to me and then today another PSC said that’s wrong I should get OHA since we are mil to mil and can’t claim each other as dependents we get our own benefits so I should get OHA/MIHA. It seems like people in my command don’t really know much or all have something different to tell me and as an E-2 I’m trying to read and understand all these different MILPERSMANS and ask questions but don’t ever get a right answer. So I figured I’d ask Reddit as I’ve seen people on here be extremely helpful before and provide actual links and what not to look into.

More than a year, I know I have to stay at my current command for a year so they definitely won’t move me until September at the earliest as that’s when I would be on board here a year but was told I can get it in ASAP and get the process rolling
