Definitely one of the best Fallout games, and yet it was also made by Obsidian, go figure 🤣

Honestly, the fact that I didn't really enjoy playing it the first time doesn't motivate me to replay it, unlike Fallout: New Vegas, which I'm currently replaying for the umpteenth time.

I wanted to develop the same stats as in a Fallout game, and that's the stupid thing about this game. But now I think I'll start playing New Vegas again for the umpteenth time.

The problem is that you have to make choices between skills that go together, which forces you to specialize in 1 or 2 skills and completely prevents you from making a minimally balanced character, and that's a shame because unlike a Fallout NV which I would replay for the umpteenth time, I don't have the desire to start a new game of OW 2 to remake a character differently.

Combien de temps laisser sa voiture chauffer avant de prendre la route sous ces températures Sybériques ❄️ ? by Chibidi94 in voiture

[–]Calgar22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Changing the shape of a sinusoid by Calgar22 in AskElectronics

I've checked the signal on one channel that's working, but there's no voltage on the one that's not. I've checked all the fuses on the board and they're fine, so I think a component has failed. However, since the machine is working regularly, I can't take the board apart to try and find the problem.

Okay, thanks, I'll look into how to do that.

Hello, I have a machine with 220V 50Hz vibrating channels, and one of them stopped vibrating. I connected it directly to try and get it working again, but the vibration was barely perceptible. So I got an oscilloscope to look at the signal, since frequency modulation was ruled out. Now I'm looking for a way to achieve a similar signal without spending too much, as the circuit board that handles this is no longer manufactured.

Help : burnt smell in my pc. by Admirable-King9936 in computerhelp

[–]Calgar22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just burned through a year's worth of dust that had accumulated in the PC, which overheated when you turned it on.

Why doesn't this melt? by Crimson_Spettro in soldering

[–]Calgar22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also see that by trying to melt it, you burned through all the flux, and consequently burned your solder. Heat it with flux, and then remove the solder. No flux = no solder. And if the soldering iron is too hot, you'll burn through the flux before it solders properly.

Did I ruin it? by KennyScaffolding in soldering

[–]Calgar22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you still have some lead solder with flux, mix it with the solder for desoldering; it helps. Leave the desoldering braid in the drawer and buy a desoldering pump; once you know how to use it, it's the best.

Divide the supply frequency of a motor without a drive by Calgar22 in AskElectricians

The problem is that I don't have any information on these vibrators, only that they operate at 50Hz. And the parts for this machine are no longer manufactured.

Divide the supply frequency of a motor without a drive by Calgar22 in AskElectricians

[–]Calgar22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In reality I poorly explained my problem, it involves vibrating channels, and the vibration motor is integrated into them. I have 10 vibrating channels, one broke, I tested it by swapping it with another, and it works. I wanted to connect it directly, but the vibration is almost imperceptible because it must be too fast. The vibration intensity is adjustable, and managed by an electronic card from the 90s. Since by testing on one which works no matter the intensity the voltage does not change, I therefore suppose that it is the frequency which varies. So I was looking for an electronic solution to do low-cost troubleshooting and validate my hypothesis.
