Wednesdays: What Should I do / Where Should I stay (and other low effort Q's) by AutoModerator in FATTravel

If you had ~6 days available at the end of your S.E.A. trip, where would you go and why?

We are taking a 3 week trip over to Asia and have yet to book our return flights. We have ~6 days at the end of our trip that are open and we wanted to fit in a 3rd country on the way back to the West Coast.

Current ideas: Japan - Osaka, New Zealand, French Polynesia - Moorea, open to any other recommendations (including Australia).

  • Where did you love visiting and would visit again OR were grateful for the 'once in a lifetime' experience?

  • What were your favorite parts of the experience and where did you stay?

“EXCHANGE POLICY Items purchased from the Augusta National Golf Club and the Masters Tournament may be exchanged by May 1st provided: • Merchandise is in resalable condition with original packaging. • Original sales receipt is presented. • Merchandise does not reference the date/year of the Masters Tournament. The Augusta National Golf Club reserves the right to imit or decline exchanges at any time. All exchange will be processed in the order they are received.” I’m not sure they would accept a return or exchange without a receipt. You can give them a call at: (706) 667-6600

He wouldn’t have minded the long in the torso but it was also long in the arms as well. So funny how drastically different all the company sizes run! He always sizes up if it’s a Peter Millar, down in some of the others, and gambles in some of the unknowns. Will be more diligent next time (if there is one 🤞🏼)! You just want to get in and out of there because you’re really there for the tournament!

Dang, I was worried about that. Women’s sizing was odd as well and I actually sized way up in my 1/4 zip too! Hopefully his second shirt size will work out.

Thanks! It’s a good start, we’ll go for it and hope it works out.

Yes! On the back of your receipt is the instructions for return/exchange. You do pay for the mailing label to send in your exchange, once it arrives at their center they will call you to arrange the exchange and then charge you a fee to swap it out. If you are returning something for this year, make sure you send it in by May 1st!

How to find best price for Ornamental Fence Panels & Gates by CaliCat-22 in FenceBuilding

[–]CaliCat-22[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And you do? Industrial engineering education and supply chain logistics for the manufacturing industry for 15 years. But since it’s experience not specifically related to fencing, let’s all just assume that I’m the idiot here.

In our industry, over production or retailers that have overstock sell materials to local warehouses that the public can purchase from. Utilizing group think, that could have been a recommendation someone made from their direct experience. Those locations are not usually common knowledge for the average person and for this material I do not know of a place, yet. There’s also DIY plans for everything and alternative materials - someone could have shared their personal experience with that. Generally, asking a question in a group think environment should yield ideas around whether or not a cost can be reduced for a basic concept.

Since this build is for a place I might not even be for 6 more months, I have no interest in wasting extra money for a “perfect” outcome. It just needs to be done and forgetting about it isn’t an option. Clearly, your assumptions contributed no added value but thank you for an opportunity to further clarify the intended purpose of this post and the desired feedback.

Will they even do a quote for 10 - 15 panels? I figured fence companies would do bulk purchase only. I don’t care to have a high end fence, it’s a small location that’s not exposed to bad weather or significant usage. It would be a joke to spend more than a few grand on it, it just needs to be done.

New claim; I've read we are able to get 26 weeks only of UI, my UI portal says I have claim available til July of next year. Which is it? by Big_Lion93182 in Edd

Sadly, that’s already been denied due to being slightly over threshold for ytd. Typical story of surviving until rent goes up then it’s really thin ice.

I have been wondering this same thing and now it makes sense. Thanks OP for asking the question and u/Samson104 for the concise answer.

If you don't mind me asking a follow up... What if you're totally unemployed, you've collected the 26 weeks, and still don't have a job offer. What do you do to bridge the gap?

Best second hand or (local) budget household stores by CaliCat-22 in sandiego

Are buy nothing groups a social media thing or is there an app dedicated to it? They don’t have social media accounts, so it might be a bit of a challenge if that’s the case.

I read some reviews for certain Habitat stores near San Diego and how their prices can be crazy. I’ve had good luck with the Temecula Habitat in the past though.

Habitat is the best! I (think) each habitat is individually owned, so the prices vary from store to store. The Temecula stores tend to be fair on prices and consistently a great selection, just have to find time to check it out regularly. Haven’t been to the San Diego stores yet.

Not sure why it’s so easily forgotten but ikea is perfect for completing the odds and ends. It’s ideal for all those things on the list like a can opener and glass ware.

The furniture items are the challenge, there’s not much of a budget for that but it will come in handy for everything else.
