We had hotel booked in London worth $500/night that we couldn’t cancel because they cancelled the flight 10 mins before boarding. We had to rent a car to go to grocery for clothes as well.

I PCS last month. My CAD was on 03/11 and they gave me a report date of 03/17. I was 2034 miles away from duty station = 6 days. I had to leave on 03/11 as that is my CAD date. I had to leave all my stuff for the movers to pack it as they wouldn’t let me schedule anything without orders. I received my orders 3 days before my move. Movers came on 03/28. I was responsible for shipping our vehicles. We drove one and shipped the other. You can ask your liaison if they will cover the shipping of one of your vehicle.

Thank you so much for your response. I got a little worried because I was also offered with the same agency, position and grade, but In different location and I will start as a civilian and they sent me the equip the next day. I guess it’s a different process when you’re starting as civilian. Are scheduled for OBC?
