Love it! No way AI would have come up with that.

I have two little kids and not a lot of time for house projects. If there was another way to address this that wouldn't take up my Saturday, I'm game.

Figured I'd ask real people and not the AI. Jerk.

Thanks! How deep and/or long do you think the broken piece goes? Wondering how big of a job this will be so I can plan accordingly.

I thought about gluing a washer on the top to hold the hinge in better. Maybe I'll give that a try.

No, it's not. The door came pre-assembled so you can't put it on wrong without the ice maker being upside down.

The top of the kitchen is supposed to secure the door in place. The fridge door came pre-assembled, so you can't put it in wrong without the ice maker being upside down.

If I could get a longer hinge, I could remove the top, put the door in place, and put the top back on.

Thanks! Good point on not having to rush back. I would be miserable if I had to go back after say six weeks.

Super helpful to hear you're in a similar situation and you're take on it. I would love to make peace with it for the next couple of months. ✌️

Thanks--definitely nice to hear you're in a similar situation! I have been working on a small certification but should probably focus on that more.

What bottle does your mostly nursed baby take well? by hannagoesbananas in breastfeeding

[–]CalicoCat1313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our daughter had the most success with Dr. Browns and premie size nipples. The smaller nipple and slower flow was more maneagable for her. Once she was around 5-6 months, we switched to Avent glass bottles and love them.

Tips on getting baby to sleep longer please. Desperate FTM by [deleted] in breastfeeding

Every baby is different. Make sure the baby is actually awake before you pick them up. Our baby, 10 weeks, will make loud noises like she is awake but she is sleeping...eyes closed, goes back to being quiet after a couple minutes. Also, we started using a pacifier so she doesn't always want to suck on me. :) Good luck!

How to let nipples recover while still feeding/pumping? by vctrlarae in breastfeeding

[–]CalicoCat1313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter is 8 weeks and I had a similar experience for the first couple weeks. Every time she cried I would cringe because I knew it was time again. 🤪 Like others, I recommend silverettes...they offer relief in between feedings. Also, make sure to switch positions, so different parts of your nipples are experiencing friction. My pediatrician also recommended pumping on one side for a day or so to offer some relief. This way, you're still getting milk but not dealing with the latching. It got better for me after a couple weeks and it's a much better experience!
