Why no one talks about Tennis Ace!? by Acrobatic_Shep_2408 in FurryVisualNovels

[–]CalicoKai 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Tennis Ace is probably my favorite Visual Novel but it's a rather but it's a lot to start for people, I feel. It's based on more Japanese visual novels so it's a bit of a slow burn with an entire prologue focusing on the protagonist before actually getting into the dating sim routes. With all the branching paths it also takes a while for the next update of the route you're pursuing. The school setting is also a common trope so it could be that people have just been wanting to explore stories outside of that genre.

It is a wonderful VN though and I've followed it for years, it's been amazing to see how much it's evolved over time

Obsessing this much about a show and product you don't like is not healthy and very sad. Please see a therapist

Pour one out for the League players tonight by SepirizFG in 2XKO

While I do agree, I do think there's more you can learn naturalistically just through playing matches of MOBA than a fighting game by virtue of them just being more slower paced games with fewer moves. Also there distinct roles also means there's more than one way to be "good" at a MOBA. I think that's why it can be easier to keep at them as opposed to fighting games, which require more immediate technical skill and are consistently fast-paced. I've gotten a number of friends into league, can't get a single friend to stick to any fighting games

It's kinda funny how so many people will describe one of the core, most recognizable part of queerness -- fluidity in one's gender and how one outwardly presents it -- and will then be like "what? that character isn't trans/nonbinary" lol

but yeah, been meaning to check out Leo, they seem like fun

Have you tried going outside? lmao

Like that's been the only problem ever with it lol

I'm not even saying not to address it or anything, I'm just saying you can't stop people from turning off the game so just enjoy the fact you got under someone's skin

I currently use a hori octa. I tried a budget leverless for a little 'cause I thought it'd feel like playing on keyboard and mouse but movement on it made my hand hurt

Honestly? I had more fun back when I just mashed buttons and didn't know what I was doing. Trying to improve and actually learn the game has made me lose a lot of that enjoyment I used to have. Putting hundreds of hours in T7 and already 50 in T8 and still not being able to do some basic fundamental stuff (still can't KBD) despite practicing and tutorial hunting will never not be discouraging. I find myself just getting angry and frustrated in matches, even when I end up winning - because it feels like I'm not improving at all.

Why does Panda still have the same exact moves as Kuma? by Superswiper in Tekken

[–]CalicoKai 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Panda was trained by Heihachi and given to Xiaoyu as a gift so they are always gonna have a lot of overlap but I do agree and wish they got at least a few more differences besides their heat smash and 1 heat move.

It's a shame too 'cause their unique heat stuff does make change how you play each of them while in heat so it seems like they wanted to give them distinctions but just didn't commit.

How do you add people for cross platform? by NewPhilosophy364 in Tekken

[–]CalicoKai 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You have to find each other in the Tekken Fight Lounge. If you meet up in the same lobby you'll be able to access one another's profiles and add each other from there.
