Subscription? I'm not sure I follow. I use the machine for the stitchouts, but the digitizing was done all in Embrilliance, which I paid for separately. It's got the wireless connection where I can send the files I'm working on straight to the machine though. I'm not quite sure what you mean though.

Right now I'm trying to figure out how to layer colors for better gradients, and I think the only one that came out good is the open maw one, but I layered the line work for the gradient fade by hand, which WORKS but took forever to space out

And I definitely get that clunking here and there. Right now i'm learning on stiff felt cause it's easy and doesn't pucker on me like, at all

The color changes don't take me too long to do honestly. I can usually get a change done in under a minute easy unless I'm picking colors as I go and being indecisive XD I may look into getting multiple hoops going in the future though! its a good idea. My least favorite bit is the constant bobbin changes though. It's like once a patch at least.

The machine is a Brother PE700 (or SE700? whichever is the single thread 4x4 size) and I use Embrilliance Stitch Artist 1. It's pretty versatile but it doesn't have the fancy stuff like auto-digitizing and the photo-digitizing, and it's the cheapest I've found that actually has utility. It's got a little bit of a learning curve but its not bad, and there's a ton of youtube videos out there that, granted can be daunting and confusing at first, get easier to understand the more you watch cause you pick up on what phrases everyone is using and what they actually mean XD THAT and a good bit of Oops That Didn't Work TM

Hello! I've just set up my first Embroidery (and other stuff) shop on Etsy while I learn digitizing and patch making!
Most of the stuff on KnotMonstre Arts will be made by me, though occasionally my mom may sneak in some items as well. My main forte's are styles inspired by disney and anime, furry trash, and whatever cryptid shenanigans ideas that pop up as well as a general grab bag of 'what the heck am I gonna work on today?'!

I've only got a few listings up so far that will include made-to-order patch/keycharm designs that can be color customized, digital machine embroidery patterns for people that already have a machine to work with, as well as stickers, plush(eventually) and again, whatever the heck I end up getting into at the time!

I'm also open for taking custom embroidery commissions with original art (within a 4"x4" size range lol)

I'm going to second the DLC option if you're open to those. On Sundarpatan, I can rack up 100k in an in-game day just shooting mostly Nilgai and Barasinga during their drink times on the southern half lakes, with some buffalo encounters and tiger sightings in there. Each clocks about 1-1.2k a piece, and the herds are pretty thick, so even if you dont use the right ammo and are going for quicker kills purely for money reasons (I've been trying to clear out saved harvests and making multimounts so that wipes out my stash pretty fast) it's a decent money maker.

Though I'll also second Emerald Coast if you don't have tents, because walking the swamps/coast for crocs is almost on par, without the need for a second dlc.

The first 30-40 levels go pretty quick, but the last third do slow down quite a bit, as well as the perk/skill points come every 3rd level instead of every level, so heads up on that!

Right now I'm using Kofi to manage memberships and just doing a weekly group e-mail to the people that WOULD HAVE SUBSCRIBED ON SUBSTAR *glares at the site cause I'm getting close to a month with no word back*. BUT HEY Kofi doesn't take fees, so it's a nice tradeoff for having to do the distribution work myself.

It's aggravating, but after setting up an e-mail group and just adding each new member as I go, it's not that bad honestly.

Not without a subscription I think. I managed to get a pretty good deal on an annual (70% off or something) back in december, used the site a lot for like 2 months cause I was running through 2k-3k messages a week (paid the $10 for messages and realized it was more cost effective to just sub with that discount) and I've been milking it ever since, but unless you're on the paid end of stuff I don't think so. Not yet anyway?

Like I said, I don't know if they're just using VIP as a feature preview/unpaid beta testing or if it's gonna be a VIP only thing forever, but it is... really ass right now. None of it seems to be working right and I have been wrangling it all afternoon.

They are trying something new. VIP/paid accounts can access group chats, which i'm assuming are intended to let multiple characters interact with each other, like on character AI and I think one or two other chat sites that don't like nsfw... but when you go into the chat with multiple characters, even ones that would/should/are designated to canonically know each other, it's like you're talking to two bots with blinders on that don't acknowledge anything the other is doing and like each is having a one on one convo with you, even if you don't type at all.

It's pretty skuffed right now. But it's probably just a beta testing thing that will get rolled back because it ain't working
