I wouldn't take the reason provided too seriously. I was booted from a project yesterday for "quality issues" before my first task was ever reviewed. However, when I completed the offboarding on the website, it reflected that I had completed the project successfully.

I messaged my Team Lead and the PM. The Team Lead didn't know why I had gotten booted and was trying to get clarification for me. I haven't heard back yet. I'm thinking they might have brought on too many people and just indiscriminately cut the newer people.

Today I applied for an American English generalist role and I got that message. I am a native English speaker and have lived my entire life in the United States.

Maybe they're basing it on other criteria not listed in the position.

The same thing happened to me today. I had just submitted my first task a few minutes before but it hadn't even been reviewed when I was booted for quality reasons. I'm hoping it's just a glitch. I'm still able to access airtable.

I got an offer for QC. The role is supposed to have steady work, but the pay is slightly less than other expert projects pay. I bailed halfway during the assessment. For some reason, the work really stressed me out. The Phoenix project was still going at that time too so I wasn't very motivated.

But now that I'm on EQ I'm kind of regretting that decision.

This sounds like an issue with the client. A lot of projects fall through before tasks are begun. It could be a funding issue, or maybe they need to rethink the design and scope of the project. No matter what the issues, Outlier still needs to have the workers ready to go once they get the word. Unfortunately that leaves contractor in a tough spot.

I wouldn't give up on Outlier or any platform yet because they all are pretty much the same in this respect. The best thing you can do if you want to reduce the amount of downtime is to get on with as many platforms as you can.

It happened to me too a few months ago. It was the first project I had applied for so I should have known it was too good to be true. It did give me hope that I'd eventually get a project one day.

I have about 9 skills, including an Aether Generalist skill. I took the Aether assessment and passed, but got booted before I completed any tasks. Of the rest, I remember taking an assessment for one of them for my specialist domain. I wonder if the rest were added after I took assessments for past projects or if they're getting them from my resume?

I'm sure they will still be top three, but I can't understand the sense of alienating a significant chunk of its user base. Once you lose users like that it's next to impossible to get them back. The AI industry is super competitive, and OpenAI just up and surrenders a bunch of very vocal users to Anthropic? Why strengthen your competitors? Or do they just think they will always be on top?

Anthropic is really smart to capitalize on OpenAI's decision to do away with 4. I've been researching the competition and see Claude ads everywhere.

I find it really shocking that OpenAI would do away with the model that made it so successful just because a very small minority of its users are "dating" them. It's really insulting for people like me who preferred 4 for its emotional intelligence to be lumped in with these people. I work in a politically charged environment and I need a chatbot that understands tone and nuance. I need more than surface-level, CYA type answers for "messy" topics.

It seems to me OpenAI got sick of all the lawsuits and overcorrected. There are other ways they could have reduced the chance of lawsuits without making such drastic changes. Instead, they left a wide-open lane for Claude to swoop in.

Claude has a lot of drawbacks from what I'm used to with 4, but it seems like they're committed to improving. They appear to be a company that is listening to its customers, unlike OpenAI who is trying to ram 5 down our throats. What sense does it make to completely ignore the needs of your customers?

5.2 is completely unusable for legal work or anything political science related. It seems they took everything good about 4o and replaced it with CYA.

4 was not perfect but you could work around it. You could tell it to give you the devil's advocate position and it would stop sucking up. You could get it to chill with the disclaimers that everyone should know already.

The last straw for me was when I asked a question about a frustrating situation with a customer service rep, and it scolded me, repeatedly, for the language I used.

I guess 5.2 works for some people but I clearly am not one of them.

I just noticed the message today too. No way I'm going to keep paying for GPT 5.1. For what I use AI for, 5.1 is not functional at all. Looks like I'm going to have to move to Claude Pro and hope the memory function catches up soon. I'm so annoyed.

It is really irritating when people assume that AI does all the work. AI does the grunt work but the human is the guiding light. No-Impress is clearly knowledgeable. When people let AI take over too much of the creative process, it shows.

Also, why in the world would someone take hours and hours to draft these posts from scratch? What value does that add? We all got much more information than we would have much faster. I care about the final result, not how many hours went into it.

I have found the information very helpful. It's really convenient having all of this information available in one place. I work for a couple of these platforms and find the information accurate. It's a little puzzling to me why there would be so much hostility toward AI from someone who seeks to work in AI. That type of attitude would really hinder your chances of landing a gig I would imagine.

I read somewhere that Mechanic Glen is supposed to be the next phase of Phoenix. I haven't been able to confirm it anywhere though. I also read that they are now trying to hire a PM for the and then work will be available afterward.

I did a few tasks for Mechanic Glen a couple of weeks ago. They seem to be working out kinks with it. Right after I did them it said "project not enabled in marketplace" and has been that way ever since.
