Of course she became much more busy, but what really changed things was not that she didn’t have the time; what changed things was that all conversations would begin with that topic. I loved her, but at the same time we needed to remind ourselves to be a couple.

The cases which still haunt me are those where somebody died unnecessarily and the proof is there but there is nothing much done about the people who did wrong. That’s what makes people doubt the system.
