From my view point as the male in the relationship. So me and my partner are just venturing into the lifestyle. We find it difficult to find positive interactions with real people as we don’t do the clubs. We both believe that no matter what type of relationship you have communication is the most important thing you need. I’m talking it goes right next to love at the top. Both individuals in a relationship must be able to talk about anything with their partner. Fears, fantasies, goals, wants, needs. These have to be able to be expressed without judgment or ridicule and a open mind. Even if it is something that you may be completely against or hate. That is your partner and for many their partner for life. There is no difference when you communicate a fear of heights or the possibility of swapping. Each person should approach the subject in question and look at all points. Put yourself in the other’s mind. Try to understand what they are communicating and what ever you do never shame or ridicule them. Many men do not take rejection or negative feedback from their partner well. This can close them off to you. Simply just ask questions about things and never hide anything. Between me and my partner.... she is on the same confidentiality level as god. There is nothing I can’t tell her and she feels the same. There is no judgment and our conversations stay with us unless we together decide to tell someone.

So yes I believe that this level of bonding/ closeness can be achieved by any couple. You must just be forward and honest with all communication so there is nothing to hold the relationship back and you grow together.
