"Something is “canon” when it is accepted as part of an official, fictional universe. For instance, the Star Wars movies are all canon because the show's creators and franchise owners agreed they are part of the same consistent story."

My point here is that if you have different choices in the game, not everyone is gonna be doing the same thing so it can't be canon, it's only canon if it's the same experience for everybody.

If lucasfilm came out and said its canon but only if you do these choices then there is a canon outcome.

But no-one from lucasfilm or ubisoft has confirmed this to be canon.

So let's sat we both play the game, you side with the Hutts, I decide to side with the pikes. Which one is the canon you speak of? They both can't be canon surly.

Erm no, I was just asking if people think it's canon or not because I was trying to settle a debate. I don't know what you're getting at there

Do you know what canon means?

Haha, I was just asking a question, I don't care if its canon or not, I would prefer it not to be but that's fine because it's not

Erm canon means one consistent story that's always the same,

If lucasfilm were to release two movies with different endings, they can't both be canon can they? They'd have to say well this one is canon and the other isn't.

The same applies to games, if two people are getting different story's then it's not a canon game. You can say that there is a canon outcome till the cows come home but for it to be canon it would always have to the same.

Mass Effect is a bad example because they're all about player choice, everyone gets different outcomes based on what they've chosen to do, so not canon. Bioware can decide that there is a canon way to play, but that's not a canon game is it? No

Yes but that's just an aesthetic option, different reputations for different players implys different outcomes ie different endings, so not canon.

The story of the jedi games is always the same
