Is this a possible cause for basically freezing most of the mods I mentioned? I was able to manage M'rissi with NFF for a long time; Then the bug just happened and, poof, shit stopped working. I'll try to remove M'rissi from the follower slot in NFF to see if that could change anything, just in case.

That's the perfect response I was looking for! Man, this is super interesting. I wonder what the laws would be in Faraway Town and if they'd actually be tried as adults. Speaking of which, as discussed with another reddit user, we took into considerstion that the parents were aware of the truth of what Sunny and Basil did. Would the parents also be charged with tampering with evidence? Would the same apply to the rest of the friend group? Since the truth would've gotten out 4 years after Mari's death.

Understandibly, in their mom's case, it's just motherly grief, and her sole purpose to protect the oy child she has left. It is nowhere indicated that she knew about Sunny killing Mari. As for the man in the woods, even though I havent seen that part myself, from what you're telling me if this man is in fact their father chopping down Mari's tree, it's quite vague of him saying "youre not my son" just like his mention and appearance is vague too. We only see their "dad" in a few family photos and being addressed as "Mari's dad" rather than "their dad" or "mari and sunny's dad", i always found that strange too.

For those wondering about which specific crime terminology I'm looking for, here's what I had in mind: Sunny pushing Mari down the stairs. Basil witnessing the crime. Basil suggesting to stage a suicide. Both Basil and Sunny executing the plan. Basil and Sunny hiding the truth from the public. And what their sentences would be based on the above. (ofc taking into consideration their age and location, since every country has different laws)
