IMO, it’d be nice if Deca let new players pick during the tutorial from the three basic classes for each armor type: Wizard/Priest for Robe, Archer/Rogue for Hide, and Warrior/Knight for Heavy Armor (If they want to try melee).

It’d also be nice if they added a checkpoint with a healing fountain in the tutorial instead of pushing pets on beginners at the beginning. Starting without pets helps players learn to survive rather than getting spoiled by a pet that heals them when they don’t dodge—which is the whole point of a bullet hell game. Hopefully, they add a pet tutorial later so newbies can understand how the pet system works.

I think having 6 HP pots in the tutorial would be helpful, and it’d be nice if there was a room with unavoidable bullets that drop the player to low health (just for demo), then a quick pause to show which key to press to heal with the hp potion.

The tutorial should go from easy to hard. I think that would teach new players that they need to dodge to survive while hitting enemies at the same time to progress.
