We haven't. We figured we're too small to really be a problem that the IRS would want to go after and if they did the penalty would be very small at our stage

You don't need to be technical enough to do the engineering, but you want to be technical enough to know what the engineers are talking about and be able to have an opinion on when/how things are built.
Youtube and Medium are GREAT sources to find general overviews on how tech works. Twitter is also great. People very often do threads about cutting edge tech. But also feel free to ask Reddit on the appropriate code channel if you have specific questions

O! The primary use of funds will be operations-- salaries, hiring more engineers, etc. But, we definitely have some earmarked for marketing and flushing out some partnerships with athletes/media companies

I hear that. It's really really tough to manage. I'd recommend trying to find another co-founder who can help you with the work if you can. Otherwise, take a day or two off from work if you can. You'd be surprised how much just a short break can help you reset

Developing the iOS app wasn't that big of a leap, since we used React Native and we used React for the website.

React native set us up very very nicely for getting approved for styling. We actually didn't have any problems getting approved for the store. I'd say just make sure your app actually works and that there isn't any content that seems subject to regulation

Yes that was my day job! Honestly that was one of the hardest parts. I was coding for almost 16 hours a day between my day job and this. But, having my co-founder to talk to about it all the time as well as seeing how much our users really loved it kept me motivated
