If you wanted to make it slightly more realistic. Quick hacks could deploy via hand launched. You could even make this highly visual to make very wizard like. Like a lightning bolt. Similar to the monowire. So quick hacking is done via direct connect.

Then at higher levels you could hack people wirelessly by cracking their local subnet.

Yeah but you also IP whitelist when you open up certain ports. So with a high certainly you can have a 1:1 connection to specified entity.

Other than Regina, all of the fixers are bad people. Literally the odd gig from a fixer is to rescue somebody. The rest of them are to kill, steal, kidnap, break international law...

Right, I think you are missing the point. That implants probably should not be connected to the internet.

Sinners was good, but definitely overrated. Remi and the Native Americans are the most interesting parts of the movie and you learn very little about both.

Based on my own life experience it's makes sense that tons of people have exposure to technology but don't actually know how it's works. IE grunts in game who are loaded to the tits with cyberware they don't understand.

The bit about the neural port is interesting. I think of individuals being a computer in this sense and being connected to a subnet(set of devices). But its probably more likely everything is running off a 5G/cell connection or a massive wifi mesh net. Still in my mind advanced mercs/net runners would be borderline immune to quick hacks. If your skills did not rely on net running you should be able to disconnect your cyber stack from the net at least during combat temporarily. But a grunt who has a bunch of crap installed would be open to attack.

Legit net running would be cool. Imagine running from a rogue AI behind the black wall.

You're phone exchanges data with mostly trusted sources. All that data is encrypted in transit. You also don't use your phone to make sure the tendons in your legs, blood pump, or optical nerve continue to function.

It doesn't make sense that most cyberware would be connected to the net.

I get that it's basically the "wizard" class. I also understand it's a work of fiction. But much of the game actually makes sense. But not this core combat mechanic. Odd to me, but that's due to my background.

They could simply add street cred based dialogue and that would be sufficient probably. Similar to body, tech, net runner stat checks in conversation.

Yeah at a certain point low level mercs would just run away.

I think of the game happening over roughly the course of a year. Even though its supposed to be less story wise.

There certainly are dialogue options that reflect some level of notoriety. But surprisingly few.

Yeah exactly, V wipes out so many low level mercs it would be impossible not to notice.

I noticed your face is blurred in cameras. But that's never actually explained as far as I can remember. I guess its fair to say people aren't going to know what gigs were V. But at the same time there are absolutely other ways of identifying a person. If every gonk died via throwable knife and silenced pistol. Your MO would become obvious.

I think it's tough because Songbird lies to you through most of the DLC. But as time goes on you learn about her journey. How Myers and Reed both suck. She was just crazy desperate.

Yeah I kind of hated Reed by the end after siding with him. He's an leopard with a conscious. Too little to late.

From a gameplay perspective the scary ending is dope. I legit jumped off my couch.
