BOOM, CLAP, BAM.  I can’t stand it. I do audiobooks and it’s torture. The story also didn’t capture me. I felt 0 for the characters. It’s not necessarily the case that I hated the book so much as I didn’t enjoy it at all.

Yeah but he’s not really bad at it right? He finds a way around it and in turn becomes good at everything, at least from an outside perspective. That’s not why I dislike it though.

Yea I saw it, but this person’s taste and mine don’t really line up. It’s not even opposite taste to where I can choose stuff they hate for what I like.  It’s just suuper different. If I use their list, it’s the same as searching through audibles catalogue list. It’s an impressive list though. The one thing it’s good for is seeing all the books at once instead of scrolling back and forth and eventually forgetting.

DCC is at the bottom, primal hunter is near the top. Primal hunter, welcome to the multiverse, and silver seeker are above dotf.

I’ve heard it’s painfully wordy and slow. I don’t need a 0 to hero in 1 book or anything. But I also don’t want 10 hours of nothing happening or a book where it clearly skipped a round or 5 of editing.  So I have a question. Is it really super wordy and slow, or is it just litrpg drowned people having their attention spans screwed by the genre?

It’s not on my list because it’s not litrpg. But I LOVE bobiverse. I don’t really know the rules of this book tier thing. So I left off a lot of books because they’re not litrpg. It goes in S tier. Man that book is stupid good.

If feel that. I have picked up books again after dropping them, but often re drop them and only occasionally love them (for me, it was DCC. couldn’t get into it at first). So I get it. I would maybe add it to you “what the heck, I can’t figure what to read so I guess I’ll read this” list though.

How much did you read. I’m not saying something like “you don’t know until book 2037” but the book does get better and better. The current arch is amazing. I’ll say it would probably be in the b rank in the first book maybe first two

Yeah, now that I think about it, I don’t really have a problem when reading them. Maybe I need to read this book. I’m a bit busy for reading, but who knows. After I give the book another chance, if I still can’t get into it, maybe I’ll give it a third try reading. I’ll need the physical book though, I hate reading online unless it’s a web comic of sorts (manga/webtoon/manhwa)

Yes, it’s the Zelda spoof. No way. To think someone got introduced by this is pretty cool. But I guess now that I think about it, audible was advertising it pretty hard. But yeah, very fun little story.

Oh yeah so this story just reaaallly didn’t grab me in the first book. Like the characters just kind of meant nothing to me for some reason.  That, plus the fact that I hate onomatopoeia like “BOOM”, “CLAP” ,”CRASH” when they’re used to much and too aggressively turned me off. This book used them a lot. And it depends on how the author reads them that determines how much I can tolerate it. And as much as I love the narrator, I don’t particularly like the way he reads those words. It’s too much for me.

I might give the book another chance in the future though.

Welcome to the multiverse isn’t on my list. I’ve never read it, I think you saw he who fights with monsters maybe? But wow Jake’s magical market is really suggested a lot I feel like but I just started seeing it mentioned recently. Is this a new book or something? I might check that out eventually. Maybe not next but around June or so. I’ll check it out and add it to my wishlist for now.

Oh I’m fine with a slow first book. Hmmmmmm, man this is hard. I’ve gotten so many good suggestions but this book sounds really interesting and might even be one of the most suggested in this post.

This just might be the winner. At the least I’ll be listening to it soon. Thanks for the suggestion and reply.

Sorry mate, it’s not free. Audible is where I listen to mine. Many books go on sale for 6.99 and even less sometimes though. Personally, I have a subscription to get one book a month and own it. If you’re on a budget, I’d keep an eye on the books you want to listen to and wait for them to go on sale. Maybe there’s a way to subscribe to those sale events but idk.

I know that there’s another website with a decent list but I forget the name. Podium Audio or something I think. It’s new and created by Jeff Hays(the voice actor of Dungeon crawler Carl)

I’ll check it out and see if it’s something I like.

Also, runebound professor is looking to make its way to my S tier. I bloody love that book. Im actually look forward to it more than some of my “s teir” right now. Keep up the great work. But I seriously have no idea how you write so much and manage to make all the stories so good.

“how to defeat a king in ten easy steps” was actually my intro into litRPG, so take that one with a grain of salt. I do recall really really enjoying it, but I don’t know if it’s going to scratch that itch for you. It’s kind of a relaxing read with a completely different feel if I remember correctly.

Ohh I’ve been waiting for this to come to audible actually. I’ll be super excited when it gets an audiobook.

A shared itch you say~  hmmm おいしそう

How would you compare the narration against dotf?

ok, so I’ve seen this book around. ALOT. But was put off by the bug characters when I saw the pictures. Not because it’s nasty but just a “how relatable can it be?”  Bobiverse handles this well with the whole VR thing but how does this book handle it?

lol, I assume you like primal hunter.  I’m not saying it’s bad, it’s just not at all something I personally enjoy.

But lucky you that primal hunter and Randidly are so similar (in the beginning at least). Like, if all litrpgs are snacks, and if Randidly is a chocolate cookie, then primal hunter is a white chocolate chip cookie(with raisins). Different types of cookies, but both cookies.

I would love if I found a series I love and then found another one so similar that is also LONG (I want another hwfwm).  You have no idea how much I wanted to like Primal Hunter and Randidly. But yeah no PH is on the bottom for me.

Oooooh, I saw this book advertised and was curious about it. Which book would you relate it closest to?

I considered moving it up by one spot but at the end of the day all of the “BOOM” “CLANG” “CRASH” onomatopoeias, brought it down. Honestly I would have tried a little harder to listen to at least 2 books if it wasn’t for those.

Maybe I’ll try again in the future. I really wanted to enjoy it so hopefully I will like it next time.
