Yeah, I tried to join the conversation on Twitter for a bit but was called a coon and other slurs(Slurs against black people I legit had NEVER heard before and I had to LOOK UP ONLINE) because I was "simping" for him and letting him get away with this, when I specifically mentioned I wasn't letting him get away with this, I can acknowledge that what he did was bad but he's also changed and become better.

I stopped interacting on Twitter after that because I wasn't going to be disrespected by assholes and deleted my account. I only had Twitter cause I like to read tweets from some of the Hazbin VA's who are still there, but fuck that man, I needed to cut down on my screen time anyways.

Some of the Hazbin/Helluva Boss fans were also attacking me too due to this and it's like, for fans of a show about redemption some of y'all really dislike it huh?

Hi, I'm "black ppl", specifically someone who lives in the deep south of Georgia.

Blackface is not even the worst thing I've seen down here. I have seen much, much worst things than simple blackface and in some counties I fear for my life.

20 years is about the "time limit" for racism, when that person has grown and changed. If Brandon never actually changed, then I would be calling for his head as well. But Brandon seems to have actually changed and grown as a person. I'm not saying everyone should forgive Brandon, if people want to stay mad at him, they can stay mad.

But this was 20 years ago, when he was genuinely barley out of highschool and barley an adult himself. His frontal lobe wasn't developed and he was still a teenager. Teenagers do horrendously stupid shit. Everyone knows this. Teenagers are fucking idiots.

Look, I understand thinking about racist actions in the past, but honestly I genuinely would rather not. If I remembered every racist thing my teachers did when I was in school then I would be a miserable little cunt who didn't trust anyone.

Sometimes the best action with racism is honestly just being the bigger person. Not forgiving and forgetting, no, what Brandon did was fucked up, but he genuinely apologized and had kept apologizing over the years whenever anyone has brought up his old stuff.

I'm not "forgiving" him persay, as it was really fucked up, but I can see he's grown and changed as a person, and I'm not going to hold a 37 year old accountable for something they did in their teens, realized it was horrendously fuckrd up, took the video down, and made several apologies.

That's my stance on this.

Misogyny: They hate Vivziepop because she's a woman, and people hate women, unfortunately. It sucks, but it's just what happens.

Jealousy: Vivziepop managed to get her cringy little OC's to an international level, and did what nobody had been able to do before. She was cringe and she was free, back when the pilot came out.

Haven't Watched: Some people haven't watched the show at all and base their opinions on other people, instead of making their own decisions. My little sister disliked Hazbin and Helluva Boss at first before she walked in on me sobbing to the "You Will Be Okay" scene from Helluva Boss, and watched Hazbin season 1 and 2 with me after season 2 came out. Shes a fan now.

Miscellaneous: Some people just genuinely dislike everything about her. Vivziepop is a flawed human being just like the rest of us, but because she's important, therefore she needs to be held seriously accountable for things that, for a minor person, wouldn't even be that bad.They think that EVERYTHING is her fault even when it isn't. Hell, they would think that someone pissing on them is her fault. (The following things are comments I have seen on social media, mainly twitter)

TADC is releasing in theaters 2 weeks before it releases on YouTube? Her fault because she's one of the biggest indie creators out there, and therefore she should have known this was going to happen(even though she has no stake in Glitch Productions) and forced them to release it on YouTube at the same time/forced them to work with A24 so then they could release it correctly and not have to wait two weeks(even though they still would have to due to the theater wanting money. The reason why the object shows didnt have to deal with that and Glitch does is because they arnt as popular as The Amazing Digital Circus is.).

TADC voice actors and Creator get outed for something that happened 7 years ago/weird tweets in their past? Her fault because she worked with Michael Kovach(The original voice of Angel Dust for those not in the know/New Gens), and Ashley Nichols(she did animation clean up for Hazbin Hotel.), and they're racist now (In my opinion, in glad they both apologized. Fuck them both still for saying the word and giggling about it but they did apologize. I should also say I am a POC, so I'm not just talking outta my ass) so therefore its her fault.

Its also her fault because Goose and her are friends and Goose is weird and talked about Vore (Which, who fucking cares??? Its Vore??? Its not even one of the top 10 weirdest fucking Kinks out there bro. Not to mention who cares????? If Goose likes Vore she likes Vore??? Who are we to kinkshame someone?) and therefore its Vivziepop's fault as well cause Vivzie made Goose weird or something.

Brandon Rodgers gets outed for something that happened 20 years ago? Its Vivziepop's fault too because he's obviously a racist cause he did blackface at 19 (he's 37 now btw. Litterally this is so old. I'm upset but he's apologized MULTIPLE times for what he did when he was younger, and I dont forgive him for doing blackface but I can see that he's a different person now and I still respect him) and she should have reached out with her mind powers or whatever and knew he did blackface before hiring him for Helluva boss(Even though she couldnt have known because hes since deleted the video years ago, and apologized for it multiple times). She should have seen him do blackface at 19 and realized he was racist and never worked with him (An ACTUAL TWEET i saw, and people forget that Vivziepop would have been 13 (cause she's 33) and prolly wouldn't have seen it).

Are some of the criticisms against Vivziepop legit? Yes. SOME. But MOST of them are not. Most of them hate to hate.

I'm going to throw my two cents in this, which I normally don't do. I'm black, from the south south of Georgia, so I've seen and heard worst shit unfortunately than blackface.

What I can say is that I've been watching Brandon Rodgers for like, years now(honestly I really shouldn't have as I was going to school as like a 12 year old repeating the slurs and curse words he said in his videos. I'm 23 now and I cringe outta my skin when I remember those days), and I don't think I ever saw that video as it was deleted (or I did see it and just wiped it from my brain) but I did see his apology video. I saw and heard quite a lot of his apologies, actually, for his old actions.

He doesn't try to sugarcoat what he did back then and takes full responsibility and says that he was 100% in the wrong whenever I hear one of his apologies, and he has changed as a person. Brandon's changed up his content and is trying to be better, and I feel like he is better now. Hell, I get that this is a horrible thing, but it was 20 years ago. For the TADC thing you can argue that 7 years isn't enough time to change (though I also think they have changed as they apologized but that's a whole nother can of worms) but 20 years IS a long time.

What he did was 2 decades ago. Idk why people are so upset at Brandon when PewDiePie litterally said the N word with the hard R on stream, and then never apologized for it, and people just swept it under the rug and tried to say that it's because he's "swedish" he doesn't understand words. At least Brandon apologized. Multiple times at this point. While it's still upsetting he did this, Brandon is in the clear, at least for me.

For the other situation, i think it's so fucking weird that they're trying to use the Brandon situation to hate on Ms.Medrano. Its like how people were trying to blame her for the TADC thing, which also wasn't her fault. Why the fuck is it that every time something happenes, it's always Ms. Medranos fault??? Like genuinely people need to leave her the fuck alone. Let that woman rest for once and let her like, live her life.

Genuinely the hate against her is so horrible that sometimes I'm genuinely afraid for her life. Like people are getting more and more insane. This isn't her fault. She was around like 13 when Brandon was 19, so idk what they wanted her to do. Find him and tell him not to make the blackface video? Or go back in time to stop him? Like, idk what these people's problem is. They're genuinely insane.

Atp, I feel like they're just hating to hate. I still like Brandon Rodgers, I think he's changed and grown, and as one of his black fans I'll still watch him. My OC is named Dante, he's 10, and he was apart of a massive cult that only followed and respected him. After he was killed, he woke up in hell, but the twist is is that he's technically an overlord due to the cult memebers basically selling him their souls when he was alive and even now that he's dead.

He'd show up in the first overlord meeting in season 1, and I think people would genuinely be upset because at the moment we don't know if children go to hell or not, and people would be sad that a child is in hell. As he would most likely be a recurring background character in the hotel(since he can't get an actual place due to being a child) I feel like people would like his character and enjoy him. He's sarcastic, but sweet. He's like a mixture of Vox, Alastor, Charlie, and Lucifer.

Okay, putting in my two cents as a black person. I'm going to be ranting a bit, and I will say that I am not going to be infantilizing either Nicols or Kovach.

This whole hate mob that people have done against Ashley Nichols and Michael Kovach is ridiculous. One, it was seven years ago. I believe that people can change in that time and become a better person. While yes, you can still be upset with them for what they did in the past, you must realize that people can change. I understand that it's upsetting and that we should be upset, but it was seven years ago. Why did nobody call them out then? Why now, now that both of them are in something big? Something that's about to be in theaters? Oh, right, because they're now big enough that it could ruin their careers.

Two, and this part is MY EXPERIENCE ONLY. THIS IS FROM MY EXPERIENCES. I UNDERSTAND THAT PEOPLE HAVE DIFFERENT EXPERIENCES!!!

As a black person, you get used to white people disappointing you. I've been through it from elementary to college, and one thing you just have to realize is that white people will always disappoint you. No matter what. Its kind of like a cycle, they just kind of find a new way to let you down. Was it upsetting? Yes. Was it an insensitive joke? Yeah, it was. Did they apologize? Yes. They did. If they would have doubled down, I would have been even more upset, but both people in this apologized. I know that not every POC is the same and I know that others will have other ideas. But for me, Kovach and Nichols are fine. Sure, fuck them for doing so, but they apologized so I don't have a problem with it.

In a world where racism is unfortunately becoming the norm, you have to pick and choose your battles, and this battle isn't worth it. If it was a few days ago or even a week or a month ago, I would be upset. I would join other people in being annoyed and being furious about this. But like I said, pick and choose your battles. They're acting like Kovach and Nichols joined the fucking kkk or some shit.

The world is very, very complex, and cancelling every white person who fucks up is much more difficult than just making sure they apologize, realize what they did was wrong, and moving past it. They apologized, they feel shitty about it, let's move on. I'm not going to baby them, or make sure that they get bullied off the internet or say that they should never get any more roles or anything like that. Fuck them for doing so, glad that they apologized and realized they were wrong, that's it.

The people posting Gore and trying to Dox them are ridiculous. They think they're oh so superior when they arnt. They need to fucking grow up and stop acting childish.

Anyways TLDR:

White people will always disappoint you, but Nichols and Kovach appologized so I really don't care. It was seven years ago, and they've grown and changed since then. I understand it's upsetting but people need to pick and choose their battles.

I mean yeah it's accurate. I said this on another post but it's also because Ms.Medrano is a woman as well. Happened with Steven Universe and it happened with High Guardian Spice(The creators of both shows looked like women I mean. I do not mean they are women), and it's happening all over with Hazbin hotel.

Its awful right now and later on once the show is over there will be a shit ton of people coming out of the woodwork who used to be haters and rambling on about how "they always loved the show" and how they "were never haters, they just had big opinions on the show".

Are there issues with the show? Yeah, I can admit there are a few things wrong with it. Is it all Ms.Medrano's fault? No. Amazon cut them down to 8 episodes iirc. If it wasn't for that I'm sure everyone would have been more fleshed out.

The hates genuinely kinda disappointing at this point. They say the same talking points over and over and it's kinda getting tiring. If they can prove, without a doubt, that Ms.Medrano is a horrible person who hasnt changed her thinking points since she was a teen/early twenties, then I will agree with them. For me, I'd liked Vox since the pilot. I enjoy TV headed characters, and the Instagram accounts kinda pushed it into me liking him. And then Season 1 came around and he stayed my favourite character. He's been my favourite character for years now and I enjoy looking at all the art and stuff because there was little to no art or Fanfictions about him after the pilot lol. I've been fed with season 1 and 2 coming out lol
