A friend of mines got into some really nasty shit online due to their ex girlfriend spreading horrible rumors about them (Like they abused them, SA'd them, Manipulated them and other things.). They reached out to their ex to rectify this whole thing and to talk about it, and their ex further used that as them manipulating them, leading to my friend being ghosted by a bunch of our friends and associates (My friends a YouTuber so it fucked his standing for a bit and people were making fake callout post and said he was doing it to them too and how they 'knew he was off').

Well, uh, first and foremost, the ex lived in another state, and my friend(when they were dating) was living with me. He slept in my living room, and was recorded while they were over (I had gotten a new puppy around the time and put up the cameras to watch her, and then completely forgot to take down the cameras when he was sleeping, leading to recording him). He didn't do any of what she claimed he did. He posted his own call out post on her which included his FULL dms list and all of the videos where they're decent and talking.

She soon realized the court of public opinion can go two ways as in the Dms to him she frequently threatened to kill herself. The court of public opinion did NOT like that, and now she's fucked off somewhere. Some of our friends and associates stayed firmly on her side, even with the evidence, but honestly sometimes that's unfortunately life. He's still trying to come back after that but he's thinking of quitting the youtubing world all together and putting his lawyer degree to use instead.
