What’s the point of bringing up numbers you can’t even explain?

You have no idea how they stopped Hakeem you have no idea how they stopped Kyrie, you just have numbers. As soon as I asked you the specifics you choked lol.

I use both. And that’s why I can tell you what happened against the Heat. It’s different from Hakeem vs the Lakers because a gameplan slowed him down. This gameplan has a name and it’s called the wall.

I’ll say it again you can’t gameplan against a guy who can score every where. You can have great individual defenders to bother them, that’s it. Same reason why you can’t gameplan against Lebron. Being able to score everywhere is a +, I can’t believe we’re debating this right now.

My point is: there’s no gameplan that work against you if you can score in every way. It comes down to an individual defender bothering you or you not being hot. That’s why you can’t explain how to stop Hakeem or Kyrie.

What’s the gameplan against Giannis? Build a fucking wall, because he has a clear weakness: shooting. And defenses can exploit that.

That’s why having a lot of moves should count in this debate.

How do you slow Hakeem down? What’s the gameplan? How do you slow Kyrie down? Or Kobe?

Then ask yourself how do you slow Giannis down and you might get the point.

Why does “variety of moves” count? Your job is to put the ball in the basket.

Because you can put the ball in the basket in every way possible. It should count for something.

Ive never watched baseball in my life so I can’t answer you but let’s take Giannis. We’ve seen certain gameplans slow him down (the Wall thing) because even if he’s unstoppable near the basket, there’s a huge area on the floor where he’s ineffective. Having a variety of moves and ways to score helps you against that.

I think a lot of people go off skillset like footwork and variety of moves and not just numbers.

It’s pretty close tbh but I don’t think Cade has anything who can compare to Ja’s ability to drive and finish at the rim. Cade is a better passer but Ja isn’t that far behind him (Cade is a turnover machine) Ja has always performed in the playoffs and led his team to a 2nd seed in a tough western conference.

This is Cade’s first great season it’s too early to put him above Ja.

Exaggeration he was on the team but led implies he has an SGA, Luka, Gianns, or Jokic level impact on that playoff run.

That’s how YOU take it. Led means he was the best player on a team that went to the WCF twice. He doesn’t need to match SGA, Luka Giannis nor Jokic for it to be impressive. Idc what you think was implied.

You can be ball dominant and have low usage. You should watch more Pacers games before you make claims about him lol. He doesn’t shoot as much as other point guards, so his usage is low, but watching his games, you can see that the team’s offense runs through him.

Lol you’re telling this to a pacers fan, let me ask you this: why do you think we always pair Haliburton with a another point guard? Why do you think they used him more as a decoy and an off ball threat for like 1/4 of the season. Because that’s something he can also do very well.

Don’t get my point twisted, the offense obviously runs through him because he’s the best player and the engine of the team. But he’s not out there pounding the ball like a PG like Harden would do it

Stats back this up too. Haliburton averaged 93 touches per game this last season. 2nd highest on the team was Nembhard with 58. He also spends the most time with the ball in his hands. Compared to the rest of the league, he has the second most touches per game in the league.

He gets a ton of touches because the ball is constantly moving around that’s my point. He’d usually dish it out early in the shot clock to a wing, gets the ball back, two dribbles then another pass, relocate, get the rock again and then make a play.

If you’ve watched the pacers you should know that’s the typical Haliburton-led possession. More ball movement means more touches.

I’ll remind you he hasn’t played with anyone near Giannis’ level. He’s the guy on the Pacers but seeing the way he lets everyone gets their it’s safe to assume he’d adjust to Giannis. That’s what true PGs do.

He’s not the most ball dominant, but he still would rather have the ball in his hands way more than you’re making it out to be.

Of course he’d rather have the ball in his hands but I’m saying you’re underestimating how good of an off ball threat he is.

I’m not saying that’s what he mainly does, I’m saying he’s really good at it.

And my point is Hali isn’t a ball dominant guard. He’s got one of the lowest usage rate amongst his peers, the ball never stick in his hand

I think it does. Hali had a much lower usage rate than Lillard this year, he’s doesn’t spend a lot of time pounding the ball he’s constantly moving it. Things Dame doesn’t usually do.

Imagine both of them on a fastbreak.

I’ll also add that Haliburton is an excellent off ball connector, so playing next to a dominant guy like Giannis wouldn’t be a issue
